As the world becomes more deranged there is one thing that will help you get through the chaos of our time. That one thing is your spiritual resilience. Learn how to mobilize the "Four Pillars of Spiritual Resilience" in your own life as taught from the world's great spiritual traditions. Protect your family from the negative consequences of the times we're in. Preserve and grow your own heart-strength. Guard your motivation and hope. Keep safe and strengthen your sense of joy and peace.
Dr. Woodall is a psychiatrist working in Newtown, CT where the tragic school shooting occurred in 2012. Along with his clinical practice, he has implemented a number of resilience building efforts that are based on his work as the Convener of the “Resilient Responses to Social Crisis Working Group” at Harvard University.

This talk says it all for a modern citizen looking for meaning and explanation of our existential anguish. Intelligent, succinct, informative. We can see what an essential role science, combined with spirituality, can play in our growth as human beings, both on an individual and societal level. Thank you for this talk. SF from Australia

The Three False Gods as described by Shoghi Effendi "This vital force is dying out, this mighty agency has been scorned, this radiant light obscured, this impregnable stronghold abandoned, this beauteous robe discarded. God Himself has indeed been dethroned from the hearts of men, and an idolatrous world passionately and clamorously hails and worships the false gods which its own idle fancies have fatuously created, and its misguided hands so impiously exalted. The chief idols in the desecrated temple of mankind are none other than the triple gods of Nationalism, Racialism and Communism, at whose altars governments and peoples, whether democratic or totalitarian, at peace or at war, of the East or of the West, Christian or Islamic, are, in various forms and in different degrees, now worshiping. Their high priests are the politicians and the worldly-wise, the so-called sages of the age; their sacrifice, the flesh and blood of the slaughtered multitudes; their incantations outworn shibboleths and insidious and irreverent formulas; their incense, the smoke of anguish that ascends from the lacerated hearts of the bereaved, the maimed, and the homeless."

Shoghi Effendi also condemned humanism and secularism as "forces of darkness". Yet America, which at its core deeply embodies those two concepts, has been a welcoming beacon to the "bereaved, the maimed, and the homeless", as well as to the Baha'i faith itself.

It doesn't take a war for people to suffer. Millions of people suffer every day just trying to survive. They are too worried about how to pay the bills or keep a roof over their heads to have any time for higher thinking. Too many people live like this, while there are others that have too much. It is the responsibility of the rich to help the poor. Too many of these people on both extremes, are spiritually bankrupt.

Suffering is as good as being poor for ALL the religions.
