Mr. McDowell repeats over and over that the Bible hasn't changed in 2000 years yet, He fails to mention the 14 books removed from the Bible by the Vatican in 1684. A text book practice of Illusory Truth Effect. Keep repeating lies until people start to believe them.

We have to tolerate the fact that sinners sin. We do not have to tolerate sin. The love comes in, when we tell people the truth about sin, even though they hate us for it. The reason sinners see the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ as hatred, is because it interrupts their pleasure. It causes them to think about the fact that their chosen lifestyles could be in error and it makes them confront eternity.

Hi Josh, I just want to mention, the number of possibilities quoted in "the evidence that demands a verdict" is incorrect. The number of possibilities for eight prophecies equals to 255, for 61 prophecies there are (10 to the power of 18) x 2.30 and not even close to what you quoted for 48 prophecies (ten to the power of 157).

The simple things in life are too simple for humans finite mind to understand... that is why Jesus spoke in simple stories called parables as an example God is a simple but also profound God 🤓 when You speak its your human words but God’s words his breath of life is all found in 66 books put together in a book Called His Word... period.

Josh's work was a great blessing to me as a new believer 40 years ago and still is today. It's just a real shame that he doesn't see the lie of eternal torment and that Jesus can't save anyone UNLESS they take the step toward Him. If only Josh would look carefully at the original Greek words that supposedly talk about hell and "eternal". He would find that they don't mean what he thinks and he would learn that Jesus is the SUCCESSFUL Saviour of ALL humanity.

The number of manuscripts or their age has really got nothing to do with the reliability of the stories told in the manuscripts. Ancient historians do not use this method to understand what happened in the past.

The bible is a book written by men who never even met the people they wrote about (many many years after). It is also heavily edited by a church that had a power and politics agenda, eliminating a number of chapters. In addition, there isn't just one Christian bible - there are at least three with different numbers of chapters. There exists no provable, fact-based evidence to support any of the supernatural (spiritual) events in it. Thus, it is pure human belief - a human emotion and dependent on as many human thoughts as there are humans. To believe without factual evidence is like saying a court case should be determined by only hearsay or a feeling. It's hard to think God wouldn't hold humans to a standard that they hold themselves

I must diagree with you strongly that Christ was/is deity. If anyone on this site is interested thet might elect to go to the many YT sites and discover what decision was made at the council of Nicea in 325 CE. Under emperor Consantine. At this council of approx 350 Bishops it was decided Jesus was God and/or the 2nd member of "a" Trinity!! You know....the "mystery" doctrine! Jesus is the 2nd Adam, God sent his son into the world Jn 3:16. At the council of Calcedon 451 CE it was determined Jesus was the God-man [word NOT found in Scriptures!! Nor is God the son!!!!

Mike Merriott-Is it your contention that believers in the Bible have blind faith? Just making sure I understand what you're saying. Hebrews 1:11 does not say our faith is blind. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Blind faith would require no evidence. Intelligent faith is moved to believe because of the evidence.

Where's the proof outside of the Bible of the resurrection of Jesus? I haven't found one detailed witness account written down outside of the Bible.
@jasonmcgregor7865
@jasonmcgregor7865 5 жыл бұрын
@Sera Tesan The supposed written accounts by people in position of power within the church is questionable at best. There is no actual verified location of the supposed tomb of Jesus to be found. There might have been a man named Jesus a few thousand years ago. This man might have been crucified on a cross. It was the Roman way of execution at the time. However, he was probably buried in a mass grave along with the others that were executed that day. Never to walk the earth or be seen again. What you fail to grasp is that just because part of this story might be true, doesn't mean all of it might be true.

The proof is in the continued existence of the Christian faith. If Jesus had not risen, the apostles and disciples would have disbanded and never would have spread the faith.

@@ApoIogeticsMan If the "proof is in the continued existence of the Christian faith" then explain why the other two major Abrahamic religions exist still?
@ApoIogeticsMan
@ApoIogeticsMan 4 жыл бұрын
@@jasonmcgregor7865 because they are not based on the historical fact of the resurrection. The original 12 apostles and the people who followed Jesus, knew that he said he would rise from the dead. So, if he had not risen, they simply would have disbanded and gone back to their lives. The entire growth and existence of the church depended on the resurrection, so no resurrection, no Christianity. Islam is based on the teachings of one man, and on fear and intimidation. Islam does not spread, it conquers. Judaism as it exists today, is not the Judaism of the Bible era. Their reconstructed religion exists, in large part as a gut reaction to the faith that the messiah brought.

“Apologists are just there to take advantage of you, telling you what you want to hear when the evidence tells you otherwise. The sheer existence of apologists is reason alone to raise suspicion. Their dishonesty is blatant when you simply double check what they say. It's all confirmation bias and platitude. Where's the spearhead from the crucifixion, it has the blood of Christ right? Christ should only have 23 chromosome from mary. Where's the body?
