He says family planning is wrong, even though there is nothing in Quran talking explicitly against birth control. So people populate places and become a burden on the govt. A good answer, but overpopulation can be a bane too. Look at the traffic congestion in most cities. People scrambling to get to their places of work. People competing hard to get jobs. Most jobs will be automated by the next century so unless you get a job which cannot be done by machines or robots, life won't be easy. Zakat won't solve all the problems. Children can get sick. Special needs children are increasing in number all over the world. Medical bills, special education, therapies.. the list goes on. And when you have many kids, probably both parents will have to work. Children will be left with babysitters and abused. Not as easy as you made it out to be.

well, if machines take the jobs of people and the owners of said machines were to give zakat to those who are poor/unemployed then people wouldn't need to worry about unemployment, also don't forget there's still a lot of work that requires human intervention, like for example repairing the machines at factories, repairing the vehicles for transportation, building large complexes and paving the roads as well as a lot of farming and sailing and many other jobs are hard to automate.

@@jawadibrahim2367 it's not just about the availability of jobs. Overpopulation destroys forests, natural resources. Many species of animals have gone extinct due to loss of habitat. Latest was the white rhinoceros (if I remember correctly). Food production needs to be increased, leading to more factories, more effluents dumped into rivers and seas, which poison the water, which in turn poisons humans when they eat seafood or drink unfiltered water. It is a domino effect. Many rare diseases will crop up. All those diseases ending in 'syndrome' due to genetic abnormalities will increase. Autism is already on the rise. Lack of housing facilities will cause cramped living conditions like low cost flats.. there's a lot more..
