I was taken completely by surprise the other week when I told my Dr I only eat meat and eggs. He told me there is nothing wrong with eating just meat and that there was a growing body of evidence for it's health benefits in various conditions! He then asked me who I watched/read about carnivore. I AM SO relieved that he is switched on!

I work as a rehab aide at a local hospital. I'm in my 2nd year of a proper human diet. I am witness to the misery of humanity every single day and i will tell you that patients in our dept are mostly presenting with stroke. The sad thing is: these patients are relatively young: 50's and 60's some of them, it's so sad! But now it angers me because all of this misery is completely avoidable! Now that i know the truth i dont know how much longer i can work in a hospital.

@@jonelleolds-ruppel1159 I think the name "American Diabetes Society" could get muddled together with other American "establishments" such as "The American Heart Association," "The American Diabetes Association," and so on. Whereas the "World Diabetes Association" is more distinctive - NOT sounding like another "American" organization. And, as Dr. Berry explains, he does want to address the prevailing diabetes pandemic on a global scale.

Sadly, most of the institutions and systems that people believe were put in place to serve them don't have, and never did have, any such intention. I worked in education for about 15 years. At a certain point it occurred to me to research the history of the American educational system. Well, I got a nasty surprise. Public education is sold to us as something that's meant to empower the individual, raise people out of poverty, etc. If those were the real intentions, why are people more dependent than ever? Why is the distribution of wealth only getting more and more imbalanced? Our public schools were created by, and for the benefit of, the usual 1%. The mega-industrialists of the day just wanted factory workers, so that is what our public schooling was designed to produce. They took their inspiration from the Austrian school system under Franz Joseph, a system which was openly and deliberately designed to produce cannon-fodder soldiers who wouldn't ask questions, and who would viciously turn on anyone who did ask questions. The intention, stated plainly, was to take curious bright little children and turn out adults incapable of thinking or questioning. None of this is top secret. It was openly discussed at the time. But of course it isn't taught in schools.😂 I recommend the books of John Taylor Gatto to anyone who has loved ones in the public school system, or was ever an inmate of it themselves. I know I'm off topic, but maybe our sh*tty education is why people can't see through the blatant lies that keep us fat and sick.

Your comment fits in perfectly. The people that currently run our institutions did not get there by being honest and open to debate. The long march took 100 years and they will not give it up because we win a debate. Understand the Frankfurt school and much of what is happening today will make sense.

Great guest! Dr Berry was one of my earliest intro’s several years ago into understanding that processed foods need to be ditched in favour of single ingredient whole foods, animal based, cutting the carbs and cutting the seed/vegetable oils. There is a big hill for people to climb in terms of “getting” the message, wanting to change their own lives, and being able to incorporate those changes into their lifestyle, availability, and budget. It is with considerable dismay that in our local supermarket, “junk” items infiltrate the meat aisle - typically the fizzy drinks and other consumables. Maybe it’s that time of year or something (bbq’s). Fortunately there’s never a shortage of 20% minced beef (British) which is my go-to in that aisle. Inexpensive , simple, and satiating.

Came here because I have been listening to Dr. Ken Berry for a couple years now - really appreciate this conversation, you got a new fan! I agree with your comments relating to plant based eating. I have vegan family members who tell me that eggs, beef, fish, chicken are ruining my health. They eat high carb, low fat vegan diet. She recently had a physical and was pre-diabetic. Her doc said she didn’t know how that could be since she is vegan 🤦🏼‍♀️ Plant based diets are hailed as the magic bullet for health - and sadly people believe this.

I am starting my 4 month of Carnivore lifestyle. It's the best thing I've ever did. I did Keto for 5 yrs and lost lots of weight. But life threw a few things that sent me back to old habits. I finally got back Keto and did well Then I heard about Carnivore. After a few months (3) of research I decided to try. For a short time I did Keto a few weeks then did Carnivore. After a couple weeks straight Carnivore. That's was fantastic for me. My sweet tooth was gone, plus i had energy..I stopped even thinking about chips, cake. All those things. But for me i was so happy that I wasn't hurting. I was taking 4 to 6 arthritis Tylenol. Not anymore. Plus extra bonuses was dropping 55 #. Thanks Dr.Berry for talking about Carnivore.😊

Hello. I just finished watching your interview with Dr. Ken Berry, Plus, I just subscribed to your channel. I like what you do. I’m 63 years old and has had T1 Diabetes for 60 years. When I was diagnosed, the treatment was far different than it is today. Sadly, I’ve had quite a few side effects over the years. Heart disease, with seven stents, five vessel heart bypass at 34 years old, a kidney transplant at 42 years old, retinopathy, cataracts, all of the typical issues that go along with poor treatment of diabetes. I personally was told by my doctor that I was taking good care of myself, and I believed it. Almost a year ago I started the carnivore diet. My A1c is dropped to 5.2, then 5.4 three months later. I’ve been using a pump and CGM, which has made my life a lot easier, but the new Medtronic G4 does not allow my blood sugars to go below 100. I decided to keep the pump, but to go off of the automatic adjustments. It will still cut my basal rate of insulin if it drops down to 90 and appears to be going lower. We’ll see what my A1c is in July. However, the whole point of this post is to ask if there is an expert that can tell me how to dose my bolus insulin for meat. I have a hard time doing that and mostly just guess. I will take one to two units at dinner time, but then around midnight or later my blood sugar starts rising. I know I can adjust the basal levels… but I’m looking for info on how to manage better my insulin levels by eating protein only. Thank you and I think what you do and your videos are great.🎉👍👏👏👏👏💉💉💉💉🩺

What would really help, is being able to diagnose diabetes before it becomes a problem. My paternal grandfather has type 2 and maternal grandfather's had diabetes. My dad is prediabetic and for 12 years I've had extreme IBS and autoimmune symptoms but my labs all look extremely healthy.... My symptoms are responding well to a ketovore diet. I'm still waiting on my autoimmune panel to come back but if there are at least 5 types of diabetes then maybe I'm prelab work evidence for one of those types

I have to laugh ... out loud! ... every time I hear a doctor say that I should go on a "Mediterranean" diet. I am Italian on both sides and that's ALL that I ate in my early life. It's obvious that these same doctors have NO CLUE what Mediterraneans eat. Many of the foods that mainstream doctors say will KILL you are staples of a Mediterranean diet. One unfortunate reality these days is that if you dare to question your doctor (even respectfully) they will do all that they can to get rid of you ... even ban you from their clinic. And all of that after they routinely ignore much of what their patients say, after they give you advice that does not work, do not provide an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment ... and they get paid for this incompetence. Something has to change!

Dr. Berry & Stephen, I'm 62, & I clearly remember, when I was a kid, that it was called SUGAR diabetes! Hello-o? When did this change? Dr. Berry, YOU are more qualified than the people who just DECIDED to create the A.D.A. way back when! I applaud you for creating the A.D.S.! I can't thank you enough for doing this, even though I'm not a diabetic. I was sort of of low carb & sugar just by choice, for 15 years. Being fired from the job I loved in 2021 for refusing a nasty needle gave me more time to research, & I just really stumbled upon the carnivore diet, which piqued my interest. Since then, I've been adding to my list of carnivore doctors & carnivore people that I follow. I have been carnivore/ketovore for the last 6 months, & have had nothing but improvements. Doing no real exercise, I dropped 10kg/22 lbs & stayed there, even though I have eaten no fruit, & consumed 95% fatty meat cooked in either butter or dripping! I've really only eaten garlic & onion for flavour, &, of course plenty of eggs - also fried in butter or usually - lamb fat! I often throw in a baby carrot into a pound of mince (ground beef?), & maybe peeled tomatoes. Strangely, my big toenail fungus, that never really bothered me & I never even knew was toenail fungus, disappeared! My BP dropped 15 points, I only need 1 or 2 meals a day now - without snacks, my skin complexion improved, I need less sleep. It's crazy! It's miraculous! Thank you! Oh hey coach Stephen a question for you - Is BONOX any good for me? - It's a 'pommy' drink that my British - born dad likes, but Aussies & Americans have hardly ever heard of. Anyway, thanks to both you good fellas!

I have a questions about the cgms. My readings go up with exercise and it goes down if I’m sleeping. Now I heard it is actually not rising but it’s because your blood flow has increased which suggests it goes down if the flow slows down. Q Does this mean it is only good to point out that if it spikes. Ps it only spikes after it goes very low (I’m guessing cortisol kicks in) this isn’t a high spike. But the biggest spikes I get about 150 is after I stupidly eat carbs (milk chocolate biscuits) or drink a very big cafe latte

@@CinSpain Sure, it's possible to go past 7 years (especially with cheat days). But many people are not making it (Tufano, Saladino, Baker... the carni community is turning into a "meat & fruit" community). The healing you had sounds like autophagy, which happens during fasts & IF which is popular in this community. So the meat isn't healing; it's the absence of other things. Healing from one problem doesn't mean this diet won't cause other problems.

I'm stuck in the middle between eating the benefits of Carnivore and to be in the club, but also I very much enjoy the benefits of gardening & social aspects of farming plants for food & medicinal purposes & beverages & cooking them & for the livestock & survival food like Jerusalem artichokes/Sunchokes. I am glad the Carnivore diet works amazing, but I don't want to live in a world without plants eaten as food. Even the Bible promotes plants as food, medicine, beverages, treats, and honey too. There's got to be a way to enjoy an omnivore diet just as healthfully as the Carnivore diet. Humans are resilient, wonderfully designed to thrive in a wide variety of situations & places & temperatures etc. It just can't be that humans are so fragile as to not be able to cope with consuming plants and only get harmed by them or displacing Carnivore foods when they consume the plants. Come on. I'm a huge fan of Carnivore eating, I obsess about the videos from so many on KZbin, and I see even Dr Anthony Chaffee of all people, saying that sometimes plants won't harm you to eat them or use as medicine. Let's do more to study safety of the omnivore diet bcz you never know when you cannot eat as much Carnivore foods as we need on a Carnivore diet. Could be a weather problem, pestilence, war, accidents, you just never know. And you'll want to have a functioning omnivore microbiome in place at that horrible time. And the plants in your garden or your neighbor's, or in storage. It was carbohydrates that kept the Israelites alive during a 7 year drought famine. Most of the animals got skinny & died.

Try to eat a seasonally appropriate diet if you want plants/fruits. Their biggest complaint with fruit is just that they are now giant sugar bombs. Fruits grown now are far larger and far more sugary and have far more fructose than fruits of old. Fruit should only be eaten when they are in season.Strawberries in june raspberries and blackberries a little later on and some of the other stone fruits later on. Definitely not year round. If you are going to eat fruits.Consume citrus kiwi and berries. They have the least amount of fructose per grams.

@@Mrs.TJTaylor "This is about an individual’s health." No. The Carni diet became a trend in 2018 to counter & troll the vegan trend going on. It makes people feel better about eating meat. It is a pity that so many completely different and unrelated conditions are all lumped under the SYMPTOM they all have in common. "Diabetes" is a symptom. @@CoachStephen Well aware of that. Type 1 and 5.0% A1c for the last 6 years. No, it is not just blood glucose management, that isn't even the major issue. If a fully developed type 1 got a magic implant that shunted all excess glucose out of the body to maintain perfect BG, they would still die. But this is what I was getting at. A type 1 does not have a blood glucose disease, that is a symptom and a measure of how much insulin we need. Every newly diagnosed LADA who comes into our group is being pushed into SGLT-2's, GLP-1 RAs, DPP4s and sulfonylurias as if lowering blood glucose is the only concern and you are safe if glucose is normal. Perishing with a normal blood glucose is not an ideal option. Lots of people think they know the difference between type 1 and type 2 and what some don't know hurts people. We get lots of people advising us and almost none listen.

@@CoachStephen " Even type 1 is easier to manage when you reduce carbohydrate intake" Dr. Cyrus has type 1, and says it's now really easy to manage with a fruit-based diet. If you do no-carb, doesn't the body still need blood glucose? and the fat is what makes blood glucose hard to reduce.
