Maybe they were just awe-struck and expressed it through laughter. Yes, I have seen it before and had the same reaction, but it's only b/c I consider it a serious matter and maybe too serious, if that's possible. However, I do understand the we sometimes say things commically in our sermons to provoke laughter, but I must have missed the punch-line in this one. Thank you though for you response.

I would understand it like that if they weren't covering their faces when they laugh and the one directly behind Dr. Elliot shaking his head like him, in mockery, in my opinion, but then again, that is just my observation and I could just be looking at it wrong, but it looks like they're making fun of is style. Forgive me readers if I'm wrong.
