This teaching is awesome for me. It's what I call a magic bullet. As Dr. Lisle said, this concept is useful in general and not just for healthy eating. Gustavo and Dr. Lisle, thank you so much for your time.

Totally agree. Doug really drives home with excellent examples and depth how we sabotage ourselves, by not making a particular desire easier from week to week. I know in my life, and no doubt many, what gets habitualised is what is most harmonious and provides least resistance....for better or worse. So Doug has helped me realize all consciously implementing new behaviors (that deliver desirable outcomes) requires making them less energy draining, whether mental, emotional, or physical energy...and less time draining. At the end of the day, it's about automating desirable behaviors to achieve desirable outcomes. And something Doug didn't mention, but it is harder for undesirable behaviors to gain hold when we cram them out with a week/year/life full of the desirable behaviors and routines. And I am saying this while I sit in a shopping center surrounded by people eating KFC and MacDonalds for lunch, while i am just not hungry. Why aren't I hungry? because I ate a breakfast that keeps my appetite suppressed very well (oat groats, berries, seeds, nuts).....and I know I have a tasty meal waiting at home (vegan chili and salad). I used to eat a bit of junk food and overeat. But systematically experimenting with different meals helped me end that....and lose weight++.

I've actually choked on eating apples. One bite got stuck in my throat & it wouldn't move & blocked my windpipe. It was scary. Better to cut up or chew many times.

Another insightful lesson. Thanks Dr Lisle and Gustavo. Small simple changes lead to positive change. I learned this the hard way 100 pounds ago. Great two serving Tupperware idea! Prevents waste and encourages healthy eating. Thanks for all you do. Keep moving and keep smiling. 😎👍
