YES YES YES MORE MOTH CONTENT YES I AM FREAKING OUT THIS IS AMAZING I LOVE THIS YESSSS Edit: Lore is thickening! Only two and a half minutes in and I am INTRUIGED! I almost want to believe that the scug they found is Hunter getting lost trying to return to NSH after their mission (since they said it had an incomplete growth and was wandering where it was unusual), but it’s probably just a coincidence and my dumb brain since it’s really late. But either way, MOTH and LTTM! They seem to have a, well… less hostile relationship than MOTH does with the others. Wonder how this will tie into the story. Maybe Moon collapsed caused MOTH to go into insanity or lose their last bit of sympathy for the other iterators? Probably not (some things wouldn’t really line up or make sense in that scenario), but still! Even if this and the Hunter theory/headcannon is wrong, I think this means that the events take place after Moons collapse. From the previous video, I don’t think that Moon would have maintained their relationship with MOTH if they happened to be threatening her friend. But maybe Moon turned their back on MOTH? Either way, I’m only at 2:31 and I’m already freaking out and creating little game theories. I should probably just finish the video before writing an entire damn essay on this, but I can’t contain myself from my lil’ theory speculation shenanigans

Something I noticed: if I recall correctly typically Moon is abbreviated in communications as BSM (Big Sis Moon) rather than LTTM (Looks To The Moon) which makes me think maybe that specific communication was a while in the past, to the point where it would be before Five Pebbles had been constructed, and thus Moon is labelled as LTTM instead of BSM. This also would line up with how the conversation seems to mention the ancients still being around.

@@SleepyCoffeeCup I would think not, since Pebbles was actually built to lift some of the burden off Moon, when she had too little water to provide for her city. I doubt both her and MOTH would be able to actually do anything to help--- One of them might, since either Moon would either be unable to function and need another iterator to help, or she'd be able to do things on her own, and the nature of the problem would mean that there's not much any other iterators can do from their cans. Here's the pearl that explains it (Pebbles is the one who reads it, in Arti's campaign), so you can draw your own conclusions from it! "This is very old. There are the blueprints for the local aquifer that facilitated my initial construction next to my neighbor, Looks to the Moon. She was built adjacent to a large canyon that was rich in resources. But continual operation of her facility lowered the waterbed to such an extent that the area began to wither away into an infertile state. Continual cycles of rain from our operation forces the water into smaller localized pockets around the nearby terrain. The aquifer was meant to consolidate these distributed water systems and funnel their contents back into the canyon. This would be a lengthy process, however. Small on the time scale of us iterators, but disastrous on the time scale of our creators, who Moon no longer had the capabilities to provide for. This might be a stretch since there are a number of ways you could potentially get brain damage in Rain World (like falling, getting your head hit with rocks, illness, etc) but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that maybe the Symbiote was a pup who had followed their parent down to the Void Sea but was pummeled around by a Guardian because they didn't have any karma and suffered a brain injury as a result. Regardless of the origin of the injury though the fact remains that this story is genuinely terrifying. The idea of someone being taken advantage of like that and not being entirely able to understand what's wrong due being a naive child + the general complications of a brain injury is scary!!! The fact that they also have seizures whenever they try to infect another creature is even worse because what we saw was just on a smaller scale! It's 100% going to get even worse when they have to infect interators, especially since there's nobody to help them with dealing with it out there. At best they could be getting even more brain injuries from the seizures and at worst they could possibly die! I'm scared for this kid!!!!! :(
