Thank you for the video and info. The dr martens you have there, are the 1460 bex, (thicker sole). The ordinary 1460 dr martens, has a thinner sole, very similar to the solovair sole. That would of been a better dr martens to compare the solovair to. 🙂👍

Solovair's also have a shank, which DMs don't. It is a wooden shank and not metal, but it's still better than none.

I wear the Solovair 8 eye derby boot for two years now. And for all who know these boots and compare it to the DM's know: the quality is the main difference. Todays DM's from asia are crap. That sounds simple, but almost everyone experienced that. Everybody who knows the high quality DM's from the 90s know the difference. NPS continues to produce these boots with the Solovairs in England. With the original machines and tools and the craftmanship like back in the days. The first and really important difference is the insole. Solovairs have a leather-insole that molds to your feet by wearing them, so it builts your own footbed over time. DM's had it back in the days, now they got a simple fake leather insole that does just nothing, except getting broken too early. The Solovairs are long lasting and very comfy. They are the way better boot and the only right choice for this price. I think that Solovair shows Dr. Martens that they did a mistake to leave England and the quality manufacturing. Quality wins always...

Only 1% of Docs are made in England. The other 99% are made at factories in China, Vietnam & Thailand.
