The Suede is BUTTER, I would say it’s an S , got the 1461 made in England suede in the mustard, fit so comfortable out the box

I own the patent leather docs, they’re like rocks. I love the shoe, but they need to fit you perfectly in the store as they don’t break in. I’ve owned mine for 6 years, they wear really well, they’re durable, but they’re not for walking miles in.

Forgive me if ive said this before, im very forgetful 🤷‍♂️ Any leather she / boot that may be difficult to break in. Use leather oil and treat the inside of the boot, the night before you plan on wearing them. The next morning they will probably be a little wet still from the oil but they will form easier to your feet with a lot less aggravation. 🤠 As well there are a lot of tricks on how to tie your boots to assist the break-in period. Yesterday I got a pair of these shoes. I never had them and when I picked them from the shelf, I was stunned how heavy they were. I tried them on, just from my curiosity," why are such heavy shoes so expensive"? ...and..surprise ! they feel so light on my feet! Thank you for your recommendations.

The patent docs are torture to break in, they're rock hard and just don't budge, blister everytime i try to wear, no matter the amount of socks, pads, plasters I've used

If you are looking for pain in shoes look into the heavy duty pacific northwest boots. Or real elephant leather boots. From what I've heard either of those will kill you to break in.
