And they all use a lot of entertaining acrobatic vocal exercises and other techniques in their singing! But, who of us humans can truly say it is

Just because they found commercial appeal and sound different is no reason for the public to continue exalting these people or any other entertainers! It was so awesome to see the other to young lady’s who became over the music department after Ms, Clark passed away. The lady that directed after Ms. Clark and the other lady who was singing on the same row both were over the music department.
@ronaldhicks68194 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are correct. Her name is Professsor Iris Stephenson McCullough. She was VP of the Music Department at this time I believe. Both She and Dorinda served as VP's until Stephenson took over the department in the late 90's and early 2000's.

For those who want to know the name of the second song, its called Revive Us Again by Mattie Moss. First song is ”When I need him most”, Karen sings it great.
@calvin606164 жыл бұрын
TWINKIE sings it great! Sometimes I get so tired of people always referring to Karen as if everyone has to live up to her rendition of a song. This video showcases Mattie, Twinkie and Dorinda, not Karen.
@nottoomuch874 жыл бұрын
@@calvin60616 Yeah, like Twinkie is chopped liver or something. Karen has a beautiful and powerful voice but Twinkie taught her all she knows. She has said so herself.
@calvin606164 жыл бұрын
I said what I said EXACTLY! Can we let these women be great on their own without always referencing Karen? 🤦🏽♂️ Quiet as it’s kept, Twinkie taught Karen everything she knows anyway. So I’m not sure how Karen became the blueprint. Both Dorinda and Twinkie are more versatile than her. Karen just has upper range (not even lower range) but I’ll shut up now because I love them all.
@nottoomuch874 жыл бұрын
@@calvin60616 I was with you until you said Dorinda. She is my favorite Clark sister but she's not as versatile as Karen. Twinkie yes, Dorinda? She' s pure church with jazz undertones. She can't sing those melodic songs very well, and Karen can out church her honestly (Hallelujah). Even Dorinda will tell you Karen has her beat vocally. They all sounded so much alike when they were younger but Dorinda sang harder than them and her voice just went in another direction. But that's why she's my favorite, her voice is just so unique and churchy.
@courtneypoland66214 жыл бұрын
all of the Clark sisters are great, I didn't say that Twinkie doesn't sing it great, cause she does. When I was writing this comment, I thought of when Karen got it and she did the vocal stutters like Twinkie. That's all. I wasn't suggesting any of the Clarks were better than the other at all.

Dr. Mattie Moss Clark Ear was supernaturally impeccable where Twinkie and her are the ONLY ones in that family with perfect pitch, PLEASE noone say under this comment that Dorinda and Karen has perfect pitch in which they DO NOT. They do have AMAZING ears ESPECIALLY Karen but she doesn't posses what her mom and Twinkie has. So imagine with that ability they have you can only imagine what Mattie's ear was interpreting and her mind was thinking. To put this in context you have to understand at this time in history gospel music/singing was NOT approached the way Twinkie Clark approached she was at this time doing alot experimenting with her instrument (voice) and I can only imagine Mattie's Ear was like " WOW What my daughter is doing is creating a different style of singing just as I did with the choir and made history she's currently making history" Y'all don't sleep on Dr. Mattie Moss Clark there's noway you could have produced a Twinkie Clark if you yourself was not musical genius in which she was. ***Written In Respect*** #MyFavTwinkie
