Dyson's tickle people ears with entertainment, Black theology, DEI, social justice, politics mixed with a little Bible. The church should preach Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost to transform the hearts of people not a social justice agenda.

He was tasked with giving a lecture....not to preach. A lecture isn't bound by the Bible. Jesus Himself was a revolutionary. He called out those in power. Jesus was social justice.

Social justice? All peoples need social justice not just one particular ethnicity or people group. It is wrong to only promote your own kind at the expense of others. Not universal

Wise words: if someone has to use unnecessary big words with extra long drawn out conclusions, that you can hardly keep up with. I promise they are not telling you the truth. Only there distorted perception of reality. When a person sits down and talks to you very simply as any talk should be and gets the meaning across 10x greater with great understanding. That man is foreal. Do you think Jesus sat down an spoke to people with 10 an 12 letter words ? No, Jesus made sure everyone understood him at all times. That is a teacher. Don’t be fooled by intellectuals like this man, who just have a grudge against white people. How many people out of the audience leave with a true understanding of what this man says ? The percentage is very low. Don’t get me wrong. He has some knowledge. But he’s not a teacher. Because a teacher can sit down with intellectuals, kids, uneducated people and get his point across to all. Thank you 🙏 and have a bless day❤

@@claudejackson1555 what better way to understand life, than plain and simple? 😂 it’s not rocket science. It’s not supposed to be hard😂 and talks are not supposed to have words so big, that only a few understand. 😂 your lashing out gives great truth to my statement before. You either lack truth or don’t care for it, as this man in this video doesn’t . No one blames you. An I surely don’t think anything bad of you. Only that you let someone else think for you. And that you’re more of a follower than a leader. And to highlight again, your comment has no intellect in it whatsoever. Just something like a child lashing out when there upset. So who’s really simpleminded?😂 id have to say we both are. The difference between us is: you replying to a man that isn’t childish enough to still need another man after he got grown. Hope you learned something. 🤦🏽‍♂️

No question Dyson is a great thinker and debater, but he does let his ego get in the way of his message. He is as much about "Black performative" presentation, as he is about addressing the pressing social and political issues of today. He is always in professorial and ministerial mode, when he is not exercising his missed calling to be a rap artist. Too often with us African-Americans, we care more about how someone speaks rather than what they say. It is as if his accomplishments as a philosopher and minister, are not enough for him. His use of words that most Black people have not knowledge of the meaning, has always seemed strange to me - the conscious attempt at inserting sometimes multiple words in one sentence. Much lesser people are criticized for such pretentiousness, but such is the mindset of so many today. Style is valued over substance. This thing about culture or "the culture" is the epitome of hype. Ironic that Dyson being a Minister, seems to have made himself the un-official spokes -person for Hip-Hop, as H-H has supplanted the Black Church, the Civil Rights and Black Power Movements, and Black music in general, as the face of Black culture to the world. This oral tradition that we have long cherished, has under H-H's watch, seen the decline in the reading and overall academic achievement of the Black people, who have needed improvement in their lives the most. In celebrating their 50th anniversary they said it changed the word. Sadly it did not change the communities it came out of, and so not much the people who live in them, certainly not change them for the better. I must comment on your statement that Jesus made sure everyone understood him at all times. I don't know about that. The word of God before him and still to this day is understood differently by believes of many if not all beliefs/faiths, but I get your point or I'll concede to it, as I am not a believer in the way of religions.
