The fact that bogus health trends gain traction on the platform shows that a critical mass of people lack the intelligence, or rather they lack the skepticism/thoroughness to verify the voracity of a given health trend’s claims, again, disheartening. This is emblematic of a greater dysfunction among us, and I don’t know where we would begin to fix it, I guess education is the only way.

I'm a medical student- green tea and peppermint tea have anti-oxidants and honey is a powerful anti-microbial. Plus you're drinking an electrolyte rich fluid which helps keep you hydrated and helps the immune response. That isn't necessarily the most effective treatment for a cold, but it makes complete sense why it would help improve your cold.

@@Augie- bro I was in so much pain I went through a friend of a friend who had "oxycodone" I took two 15s but they ended up being full of fentanyl and I nearly died they had to hit me twice with narcan and put in the ICU. They definitely need to start giving the people who really need opiates an adequate amount. As far as like anti depressants they do hardly work but it's an overall good thing I've heard ketamine works really well for depression.

Just an FYI... But it depends on the temperature of the water you use for the tea. Boiling water destroys the benefits of the green tea. Warm water around 60-70°C/140-158°F should be used. Drinking hot liquids isn't safe for your esophagus (around above 60°C/140°F). Dr. Mike has a few videos on this.

Glad to hear them call out juice cleanses in the video. It makes absolute zero sense. First of all, it's not actually doing any "cleansing'". Secondly, just because you decide you need to "cleanse" your body, doesn't stop your body from actually needing essential macro- (protein, fat, carbs) and micro-nutrients (vitamins, minerals, etc.). You are just depriving your body of what it actually needs and feeding it bullshit.
