The blue zones aren’t eating the chemical foods which are put into the American food chain. They are not eating seed oils at the rate Americans are. Poverty is the cause of less choice of good quality foods. Greed is the choice of putting cheaper inorganic available ingredients into food. The medical industry promotes the Rockefeller medical education system. The FDA doesn’t monitor for health, they monitor for profits on behalf of the agri business. Doctors are not taught extensive nutrition for the benefit of patients. The problem is much bigger than this simple conversation.

Main American problem is their dietary lifestyle culture/laziness. Cooking and eating home meals is culture for probably all countries outside of US, eating out is mainly just for socializing.

Summary: eating more than you need, and that it’s become too easy to overeat. The body is hyper optimized for energy storage as evolution and natural selection required it to survive up until recent history (at a macro level).

"Death by the thousand cuts". Great analogy. So it's not just one thing, it's collection of things, both positive and negative. So the bottom line is, it's the lifestyle and the thousands of negatives or positives that you do to yourself which determine the grand outcome in the long run.

If you go back to his (TDL) first vids - he pronounces things wrong & gets stuff wrong. He never admitted he was a neophyte & was always just about the views... passing himself off as a guru or scholar. He was just a decent looking guy w/a good body that parlayed his transformation into a brand. His business model isn't giving solid info in a time frame that respects our time - it's maximizing our views for sponsorship & ad rev.

Makes sense, people try all sorts of differant diets, lifestyle changes, exercises, herbs, fasting, new social interactions and also fasting. But they RARELY try multiple things all at once! And often give up when too many healthy things are too stressfull! So good diet first, then exercise, social company, hobbies... music meditation... omega 3s IF you lack em, tea perhaps, lifestyle changes ESPECIALLY when it comes to hobbies, improving existing preferances.... in effect gradua but FIRM change. Theraphy too helps loads of people, but often they get stuck in the "get better" part without moving on OR worse yet they take being better as external thing.... not an internal process. "Being the best version of yourself" does not work IF you dont at firs become better version of yourself as you are. No one loses BAD weight if they simply do a routine for sake of 1 improvement... are yyou losing weihgt or are you trying to healthy happy? :D

"We have created them all and strengthened their forms and When We willed, We replaced them with people similar to them."{Holy Quran 76:28} He has created you in (different) stages {Holy Quran 71:14}

@ Interesting. I agree that we have access to more knowledge, both good and bad, than our predecessors, mostly due to thousands of years of trial and error. But I feel we are just as capable, if not more capable, of good and evil as the first humans. May I please ask you, I mean this with respect, since you are here 1500 years after Muhammad, are you in a more advanced stage, metaphysically, than your prophet?

The whole Blue Zones tale is based on weak data and flaw methods. Cherry-picking is largely used to "prove" a plant-based diet is healthier: for example in North-America Mormons life expectancy is the same than seventh day Adventists' but it is Loma Linda, where live many Adventists, which is the "Blue Zone". Another example of cherry-picking is that Hong-Kong is not good enough to be a Blue Zone even if it is the place in the world where people have the greatest life expectancy! I guess people in Hong-Kong eat way too much meat to fit the Blue Zones plant based diet narrative. Jeanne Calment lived in France not in a Blue Zone. Sardinia, Cretan Island, Okinawa were included in these so-called Blue Zones but apparently pension fraud was massive in these islands and moreover dairy and meat intakes seem to have been largely underestimated. Blue Zones is a trademark acquired by Adventist Health an health organization linked to the Seventh Day Adventists who have always promoted a meat free diet. I'm sad that people like Peter Attia confound so easily political agendas and vested interests with science.

Our body doesn't burn/explode calories like a bomb calorimeter, it uses nutrition to varying degrees chemically. The body isn't a closed loop system therefore calories are invalid to represent the amount of energy and nutrition we get from food. If our bodies burnt all the ernergy you can get from food you wouldn't be shitting anything out.

First time that I have to give a thumbs down to one of Thomas’videos. essentially 12 minutes of hearing that the process is so complex that we have no idea how it works, but yet somehow it all just randomly, coincidentally, came to be in perfect unison by random chance. Not saying you have to be religious, but how about considering that it was designed that way? It’s kind of like saying given enough time, evolution will create a Bugatti that is self-aware from mud puddle. Takes more “faith “to believe that in my opinion.
