This is unparalleled conversation from two brilliant men. Milch is maybe the greatest living artist and teacher and Whybrow’s a genius. Very funny and authentic. These men care about humanity. Follow their teaching

A Wise Man! I've just read this book. Impressed. I have finally found answers to all my main questions about living.

The background music is silly and distracting. Stop doing that whoever did it. Stop it and give yourself a little spanking. Thx!

"we started out with very good intentions"... would that be the mass killing of the native population or slavery or imperialist wars or what? He takes certain things for granted as true - the humans are necessarily brutal to each other - and then runs with this good intentions crap. He makes some good points but the world view is limited. He's got some of it right but his assumptions about why we did things and what drives us rests in standard elite doctrine that these guys all learn in school and internalize. I suspect Milch has lived in the dirt and knows this guy has a fair amount of bullshit up the pipe but doesn't feel like he can call him on it.

It sounds like you want to give Milch a pass which doesn’t seem warranted. I agree with your points about Whybrow’s chosen/learned limited worldview and what he takes for granted. That said human history is rife with brutality that is not limited to colonizers. Imperialists admittedly perpetrated it the best and for the longest lengths of time, but they didn’t invent it.
