You just reminded me. I dreamed of parallax scrolling last night. The night sky was a series of very nicely coloured dark blue scrolling sky layers with stars, obviously just scrolling about 32 pixel sections, moving at different speeds and were actually just a few feet above my head when I looked directly at them.

If you liked Mean Bean, you should give the Puto series a try Starting Puyo 2, there is a counter mechanic, that rewards planning and combos, and makes the gameplay deeper and even competitive. It feels way less luck based and more interesting because of the added interactions inbetween the players That said, I enjoyed your video, I like that you considered that game as its own thing, it looked like you had a good time, or at least you got pretty invested in it

My favorite puzzle game, until I discovered Baku Baku, for the Master System. Love to press the control buttons during the opening screen, so that the beans play music.

In the Sega Mega Drive Mini version, a lot of the "story" is cut out, so you don't really know what you're doing or why. I had no reason to invest in the plight of the beans...

@GFrom Reviews yep the first thing you see after the main menu screen is the Arms cut-scene then it goes straight into the level. They've cut the bit before that. I wonder if they did the same to other games, since I never had a Mega Drive growing up it's all new to me!

Didn't have this game. Too traumatic, for two reasons; 1) I had Columns which kicked my ass, and 2) Scratch and Grounder from the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. The chicken's laughter sometimes finds me, in nightmares and sleep paralysis!
