I don't understand why some people here are of the opinion that a discussion on such topics is haram or that he is in support of homosexuality. First off, Islam asks us to gain as much knowledge as we can and question, not blindly follow what is given to us. “Learn your religion; do no inherit it” - Imam Ali a.s. It is important that such issues be discussed in order for us to have maximum knowledge to formulate opinions and enlighten ourselves and others. The more you repress certain issues, the more they're intensified. Secondly, Dr. Ammar clearly says that Homosexuality is not permissible in Islam. But as humans with ethics, we are not to discriminate people based on their sexual orientations and not interfere in their personal matters. Let Allah be the judge. Look to perfect yourselves before you go about preaching to others. We live in a diverse world and cannot thrust our views on others. Be tolerant to differing opinions. Listen closely before you draw conclusions.

No but shia islam also says to punish gays with death. You can’t deny allah ﷻ own command or the prophet ﷺ or the 12 imams. They all said that gays should be punished with death, even imam Ali AS said that gays should be burned

monis ahmad who is Mawla? Is this another term for Allah (swt)? Because if it isn't, then I'm pretty sure you committed shirk. You cannot ask a mortal to guide anyone! Not a sheikh, not a prophet, not even an angel bro. Only Allah can guide anyone and any other notion is pure shirk. I only comment this on the assumption that Mawla is another term for the Mawla Ali. If this is not the case, and Mawla is another way of referring to our Rabb, then may Allah forgive me.

In a nutshell, being homosexual ISN'T haram, performing the acts of it IS. That being said, Muslims are still required to respect LGTB folks regardless of their sexual orientation.
@muslimwithssa
@muslimwithssa 6 жыл бұрын
agreed, just like we'd respect our co-workers despite the fact they may co-habit outside of marriage or drink or gamble, we also need to respect LGBT people regardless of what they do in the bedroom, its between them and God. We might not agree that it is a way of life that our Creator has advised us to live, but nonetheless we need to offer these people all the respect and dignity that we'd offer any fellow human - after all we are all children of Adam, which makes them family.

Genesis: If the men were gay then why did Lot offer his daughters, and not his sons or even himself, to the mob? Was he placing limits on what he would do for God? Is raping a woman somehow less evil than raping a man? The word was "to know" the mob used regarding the angels, a Hebrew word that is never used to describe human flesh, only angels and angels do not have a gender. Even so, male on male rape has nothing to do with orientation and has everything to do with dominance. Victors in armies used to rape the defeated. The vast, vast majority of men who commit male on male rape are heterosexual males. According to Christ, and other numerous references in the Bible, the real sin of Sodom was inhospitality, a sin those who use Sodom to condemn gay people are guilty of. Leviticus: The Hebrew term used to convey the abomination, toevah, can only be found in the Bible to convey ritual impurities, and is never used to convey a moral sin. The Hebrew term for a moral abomination was not used. This scripture comes directly after God telling us not to sacrifice our children to Molech. The translation to 'as with' is a bogus translation. This word is translated to mean "bed" every other time it's used in Leviticus and it's impossible for any Hebrew term mean, and only mean, "as with." There were three types of beds back then, each with it's own guidelines: The man's, the woman's and the marriage bed. Leviticus 13 gives us a list of these guidelines. The correct translation would be "A man shall not lay with another man on a woman's bed." This Leviticus scripture is part of the Holiness Code, and not the Moral Code, a set of rules meant only for the Jews to keep themselves pure for their rituals and has nothing to do with morality. Corinthians: Paul stated "male bed" and "soft" and did not use any Greek term which could have conveyed sex between men. The true meaning of the two terms used together has been lost to history, all we do know is he was referring to those two Leviticus passages now used against gay people. This passage has only been condemning homosexuality for less than 100 years and has been translated throughout the ages to mean everything from masturbation to pedophilia to pimping. Romans: This is a clear cut condemnation of Pagan idolatry, the most widely condemned sin the Bible. Both male (ie, gay) and female (ie, straight) temple prostitution, sex rituals employed by the Pagans in their idolatry, is condemned in both Testaments. The Pagans rejected God and worshiped their idols instead and for this reason God gave them over to their vile affections. This has nothing to do with committed, loving relationships between gay people. Christ mentions homosexuality at least twice. In Matthew he refers to them as ‘born eunuchs’, one of the three types of men not made for marrying women, “born from their mother’s womb that way.” Christ met a gay man, via the Roman Centurion trying to heal his ‘pais’, a Greek term used to convey the younger male in a gay relationship, and said of him, “Never have I seen faith greater than this.” Neither times does He condemn them. Do not judge less you be judged. Gay male youth are ten times more likely to commit suicide and make up over half of the successes. You teach a child he is an abomination, that God hates him and is sending him to hell and that child will kill himself. Yes, you teach hatred to these children, make their lives a living hell. Your kids bully them endlessly. To a gay child there is absolutely no reason to keep on living if he's heading to hell anyways.

Faith There were 1.8 billion Muslims in the world according to a Pew Research Center estimate. The Muslim population should follow 1 holy book Al Quran and 1 prophet Mohammed peace be upon him , and his real Ahadiths (there is one regarding a tattoo),not Ayatollah who is a normal human being who can make a lot of mistakes. Any way his lecture was really ineffective , if you compare him to Dr Norman Ali Khan.

so you're saying don't care about what Allah said it's Haram .. just choose what u like of islam and leave what you don't as your desires takes u .. it's stupid .. they are not hated but clearly they need to stop it .. we should not support it but we don't hate the sinner we hate the sin .

I think basically LGBT people needs to first fall in love with Allah before they can fall out of love with everything that He's asked us to keep away from. Telling a gay people that what they are doing is haram/sinful isn't going to resolve their attraction. We don't offer them alternatives or a structured path out of the addiction.

I feel these subjects are not trivial and they are extremely pertinent in today's world, if they are not discussed now when will they be discussed, also clearly Dr Sayed Ammar has no problem in these questions and addressing these issues. I can understand your wish for him to talk about the Quran, but perhaps they felt this was needed right now and maybe later nights will explore the Quran, Insh'Allah.

Whoever will read my comment, may I just say that you are "Muslim" and need to follow the Quran/Hadith only. Not to follow somebody, who is just a ordinary human being with tattoo all over his hand/shoulders. Nakshawani, in his past videos, he has mentioned many wrong things about Islam. Everytime he answers a question by bringing a proof a imam, not from Quran/Hadith. When whole muslims prays like our holy prophet (SAW), they pray differently, totally! They changed Azan, mentioning Ali (Astakfirullah) Being a Muslim our hero is Prophet Muhammad (SAW) He is incomparable.! but they compare him to Ali. (astakfirullah) In Islam their is no division. But if they are part of Islam? then may Allah guide them to the right path. Ameen. (BTW I am a Muslim! not sunni/shia)

Salaam alaikum How do Malikis pray? Why don't they fold their arms? Because he taught salaah like the "people of yathrib" i.e. Those who were living with the Holy Prophet (saws). The inclusion of "Aliyyun waliyullah" comes from 5:55. The closeness of Imam Ali (as) to our Holy Prophet (saws) comes from 3:61. However at the same time Imam Ali (as) always claimed to be the slave of the Holy Prophet
