You are what you eat indeed ! I have been on 4 High Blood Pressure meds since the age of 24. I had a normal cholesterol and I was not overweight. My Doctor was baffled by my test results. At 49yrs I had put on so much weight and so I decided to do something about what I ate after reading about inflammation and the 4 meds only got me down to 135/84 at best. I started by eliminating certain food from my diet. Started with avoiding sugar and milk but it was when I took out wheat from my diet that my BP dropped to as low as 94/65 together with taking my meds. I decided to go without my meds for a week and see what happens. To my amazement, my BP was around 120/75 the whole week. 2 years on it is still around the same figure and my weight is dropping, my skin is getting younger by the day and I am full of energy. Wheat has been inflaming my body for almost 30years and all I got from the Doctor was pills and more pills to stop my body from dealing with the inflammation. What a joke !!
