Rev. Dr. Todd F. Eklof has been the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane, WA, since 2011. He’s appreciated for his mind-altering sermons, compassionate soul, and social activism. Unitarianism and Unitarian Universalism have traditionally been known as liberal religions, defined by their commitment to individual dignity and freedom of expression. They promote diversity and inclusivity and encourage their members to engage in the “free and responsible search for truth and meaning.” However, Todd has had a different experience.

I know someone who is a past minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane. He told me the day he retired was the best day of his life. He also told me that there is some pretty toxic people who are part of that congregation, though he never named any names. Now he's a screenwriter for B horror films, and much happier. Sun Tsu said "that all warfare is deception", I guess the 4th, 5th, and Psy Opts version would be "that all warfare is the monopolization, domination, and manipulation of perception".

The issue of gender affirmation is a big one. My spouse has bought into the idea of puberty blockers. She is trans and does not understand the reasons why that is not a good idea. But it is unfortunate that the right wingers, are conflating those who are legitimately transexual and do legitimately need various treatments for the condition, with those who have transitioned because it has become fad among disaffected youth and approval is being handed out with only a short consultation with a therapist. Not good. Much damage being done. And right wingers are using these mistakes to oppress genuine transexuals.

Doctors, I also agree about those bleeping wild turkeys. They are just horrible and outnumber the population of my town.

Plus, I was visited by a so-called Russian student in northern Japan who wanted to hear about how we Americans carried out public diplomacy from our Embassies. I did not tell him much wxcept that our mission was to tell the truth. The Clintons dismantled the agency that did that work with the idea that everyone could get whatever information they needed to know from the internet.

I think gender ideology has gone through a process similar to the game of telephone whereby people have expanded the meaning of being trans to the point that it's meaningless while at the same time people are also saying that if you're trans you're at risk of drying by your own hands if you don't transition. For those who end up wrongly believing they're trans there is little hope of escaping before they do serious medically authorized self-harm. This happened to my gf. She accepted a really broad definition of trans, went through a process of shifting gender labels, until she arrived at being a trans-man. She didn't have a good relationship with her breasts so she liked the idea of not having them. When she consulted with a doctor about it the doctor told her to get on testosterone. She had no interest in being on hormones, but ended up on hormones with essentially no outside guidance besides her peers and brief unquestioning consultations with doctors. She was a full post-college adult when she took actions to begin medical transition and the situation was STILL bad. Peers are unintentionally coercing each other into transitioning by spreading a broad definition of trans while at the same time saying that trans people are at an extremely high risk of self-harm if they don't transition. People can doom scroll and diagnose themselves as trans or just end up in a social media rabbit hole that makes transition seem like the thing that everyone is doing and no professionals are allowed to question their diagnosis. Instead of questioning, my gf was actually pushed harder into the transition process than she wanted. What my gf ended up finding out is that she went along the trans path because she thought she had to behave in certain ways if she was a woman and she had internalized misogyny and she didn't like the sort of attention that her breasts had brought her. Also surprisingly, I think a trypophobia image involving breasts possibly made her phobic that her breasts were diseased or could become diseased which made not having them more appealing than it would have otherwise been.

I think you’ve done amazing work in combating cults in general. But I have to say, I think you’ve overstepped some lines by getting involved with politics. And also the politically correct stuff. These two areas are tarnishing your reputation, power, and reach. Best to keep your personal lifestyle choices and opinions separate from the religious cult stuff. As aside, Joe Rogan didn’t want you on the podcast not because of Trump stuff. But rather, he misunderstood something you said during your first appearance, about potentially forgiving abusive family members. I’m guessing this is because his own father was abusive, and he didn’t fully understand the concepts you were talking about. He was really upset about that, and actually said something like “I don’t know about that guy “in rage at the end of the interview. He certainly didn’t love you. Anyway, wish you well and to improve in the future.

Politics is a culture, and organized conscripts are also a culture whether it be a religion, a social-political movement. Scientology started as a political constript before it organized itself for a religious status. I suggest to you to also listen to the podcast "Behind The Bastards" that take on similar issues. There is a multi-part episode on L. Ron Hubbard.

Wow. Shame on you both. We can all see through this. Have your questions but ask experts like doctors who treat these kids. It shows that you’re not sincere in your curiosity because you don’t seek answers from those in the trenches. Like someone with an actual trans experience whose life has been saved by transitioning. But you won’t be brave. Confirmation bias is your favorite state. All warm and comfy that way, huh? Shame on you Hassan. You don’t deconstruct. You only pretend to.
