Found this fascinating. I grew up mormon (left 12 years ago, age 27), and one of my high school friends was SDA. I never realised how many similarities there were between the two, but it totally makes sense.

this is good information.. one time I bought peanut brittle from the moonies the unification church in Nashville. a guy came in to my sub shop selling it and said it was for his church so I bought some it was quite good until I found out who the unification was. i was a rebellious sda kid at the time finally free from the control and then I found Jesus.

I went to one of their attempted recruiting sessions. There was an ad in the paper offering money to evaluate religious lectures. I assumed it was research for a theology class or something because it was being held at a community college. I signed up and attended. It was very clear to me as the lecture began that this was an attempt to convert people to a faith. I went to all of the sessions and they did pay me but they seemed frustrated that I wasn't interested in more. Others in attendance seemed moved emotionally and I wouldn't be surprised if they donated their payment to the church at the end and then joined. This should've never been allowed to happen in a college imo. Very deceptive.

This is a very fascinating interview ! I initially went into it thinking it was not going to be very interesting since I thought the 7th day Adventists were a pretty benign group. I think of them regarding health and vegetarianism and a hospital mostly. I had no idea about all of this history. VERY informative. Dr. Daily mentions some sort of group "key family resources"??? Can you please provide a link or some way to get in touch with this group that is helping folks understand leaving a cult environment, etc? Thank you so very much !

He tells parts of the story but twist it and the conclusion is a lie. His truth. There is only one true. Read your Bible. And you want to read what Ellen White wrote start with Steps to Christ and Desire of Ages. I can promise you this man is not a honest man. Don't listen to what man says. Seach your Bible.

Why would an Omniscient God need to count anything? If He did, why not a supercomputer, instead of angels holding quills in ledger books, especially since angels are not supposed to have bodily forms?!?

You have a very interesting point..Even for God, things take time..and there is plenty of examples of that..If Jesus is in the most holy place looking at individual books of every single person that has lived on the earth..If he started in 1844..and spent 1 minute looking at each book.. That would take(are you sitting down) 230213 YEARS!!!....Really? Really!?! I just wish I knew 5 % of what I know now before I fell into the cult..I would not have wasted 34 years of my life..

No, it is not an oxymoron. One can live religiously or irreligiously, but can only truly live if they are not part of cult group, a cult that tries to bully, manipulate and isolate. A real religion, including a proper church, respects the free will and freedom of every single member, does not isolate them from the rest of the world, does not treat someone like a captive or a slave. Anyone behaving like that in an actual church is not a Christian, but a genuine heretic or conman. I'm lucky I've never had to deal with any brand of cultists and cults. Thank goodness.

I started my way out when I saw the interview on John Ankerberg with Desmond Ford and Walter Rae back in the early 80s There are multiple 100s of thousands leaving the SAD organization every year..You are not alone!!

I know what you mean. My husband went through the same thing. He left the movement years ago and was left with so much confusion because he found out that these Sunday churches are nothing like he was taught growing up and that it was all lies. Took many years for him to recover and de-programme and actually start to trust the Lord again. Thankfully he was introduced to the true Gospel eventually. Will keep you in prayer friend🙏

How many voices have been spoken against God's messengers and prophets down through time. Noah's preaching for 120 years would not have seen the light of day with these men. These men will enjoy the embrace of the majority in society, in the church community, in governments, in legislatures and the world. No more Seventh-day Sabbath to tie them down, no more pesky investigative judgement, no more "Cultic Adventist", no more Ellen White heresy, no more lying to the people by mis-representing the truth. No more "Mark of the Beast" warning against sun worship. These men are sitting pretty and have joined the ranks of the Religious-World view. God's messengers and prophets down through time have never enjoyed this majority embrace, in fact God's people have been persecuted and slaughtered and have been slandered by the majority. Men and women of the world will not lift a finger to these men because they are speaking smooth sayings that are pleasing to the worlds ears. When all the voices of the prophets have been silenced and men and women no longer hear the voices of reproof from God's messengers, the people of the world will desperately seek for truth but will not be able to find it, for the very voices that hushed up the truth will not be able to calm restless souls that have been cajoled into a false sense of security. Revelation 13 pulls back the curtain on this subject very clearly. Most people of the world as a whole and the religious world in general are liking and embracing what these men are saying but most of the world fits into this text and the warning against this can not be more clear.

Read The Bible. No EGW input. Just The Bible, not what EGW tells you it says. Dr Daily is an Historian, Theologian and Licensed Psychologist. He was a card-carrying SDA Member. I believe that qualifies him to speak with authority about the foibles, nay, heresies of the SDAs, which are most definitely Truth and not propaganda. I, too, have been there, done that, and don't want your dang t-shirt. They are totally twisted, and have set millions of lives on the wrong path. Decades later, I'm still deprogramming. That, in and of itself, indicates its evil roots. May God have mercy on your Soul.

“… righteousness by faith in Jesus’ shed blood” Actually EGW specifically rejected the idea that Jesus’ death on the cross - and His spilled blood - provided an atonement for sins. Instead, she said it only provided a period of “probation”, until the adherent could present enough good works to God to show why he merits admittance into heaven. This, of course, negates Jesus’ finished work on the cross, and is a damnable heresy.

I once posted a video about leaving adventism after religiously studying the Bible for over a year and everyone kept telling me that I needed to go and read the Bible after I was explaining their doctrines verse by verse 😅 To make it worse, I spent over 20+ years in that religion, my dad is an Adventist preacher, our house was full of Ellen g white books but they claimed I didn’t know what I was saying 😂 To them, you only know what you’re talking about if you agree with them!
