I agree. Very fine strings. Also stay in tune very well. in the past I've played GHS-boomers. They also kept in tune pretty well but overall DR-string play (and bend) ... smoother I'd say.

I love DR bass strings! I’ve tried most of the major brands over the years, but I always come back to DR . They have a big hefty sound, feel great, and outlast any other string I’ve used. And it feels good to support a family operation with such an esteemed heritage in the music biz. Thank you DR!

I have to say thank you all who make these strings I've been playing with DR strings for 11 years and I have never played any other strings I would and always will recommend DR strings to any player..DR is the best out there

Truly excellent strings. My favorites are the Veritas 11-50 custom lights. I play a Guild F50, made in 1976, and I really prefer the 50 on the bass (as opposed to 52, which most others use). Very balanced, very beautiful tone. It is fun to find out that Guild has a history with DR - I didn't know until now. I really like how much your video shows your dedication and thought. Thanks.

I never comment on stuff like this, but after playing for 12 years and FINALLY trying a set of DR Cool Blues Bass strings, I'm never going back to anything else. As soon as I started playing I heard something there I've never heard before and it really was the little missing bit I had always needed in my tone. All the other strings I tried weren't bad, but my DR's are just a step above everything else. Thank you for offering these for us players!

Every time I try different brands of strings, I always find myself going back to DR Strings. I can't really describe it, but I just like DRs more than the other brands.

Been playing DR bass strings since 1997. All my basses get a different model: G+L L1505 = Hi Beams G+L JB = Pure Blues G+L M2500 = Fat Beams G+L SB-2 = DDT Fender Pbass= Legend Flat Fretless Pbass= Legend Flat Fender J= Sunbeam Fender J5= Sunbeam Aria Pro2 TSB 550= Low Rider (nickel) Peavey Patriot= Sunbeam Of course I've also tried La Bella, D'Addario, Dunlop, Dean Markley, etc. I have yet to find any other brand with the feel, sound, flexibility, life of DR. The best American made string there is.

I only use DR tite fits 10s and 11s. Ive tried them all, even experimented with the newer ernie ball m steels and always found myself going back to DR strings. DR player for life!!

I use nothing but DR Strings on all my guitars. The flat wound strings on my Gibson L5 are unmatched by even the other more expensive brands. I've been playing for 53 years and have even purchased string made in other countries while on tour and have regretted not keeping enough DRs in my bag.

I'm always playing in drop tunes. DDT's are the ONLY strings that hold up and stay in tune. DR strings kick ass!!!

I've been using various DR sets: Hi Beam, Fat Beam, and recently tried the Lo Rider, the low B really growls! DR strings last longer and sound better than any string on the market. They cost more but I think it's worth the money. Good job guys!

I use Pure Blues 9-42 on my Stratocaster, and they sound great on the neck pickup and the tone turned down. Pure woman tone, great for blues. I'm about to put a set of DR Legend flatwound strings on my Precision Bass. Can't wait to see what they sound like!

i got a pack of tite-fit 11-80 8 string guitar strings and they feel amazing, the sustain is noticeable, i can go from just chugging on the low string to playing classical like, handmade is an understatement honestly, these strings are basically perfect in clarity and make the low f# note really pop

I have been playing guitar since the sixties and professionally repairing and building guitars and basses since the seventies. I have tried most every string out there over that time and have noticed that some are better than others and there are things that you hear that cause you to say that each string brand has some little quality that makes it better in some small way. And then I tried a set of DR's. The improvement was instantly noticeable... big time. For the last 15 years I string my personal instruments with DR's only and the only instruments that leave my shop without DR's on them are ones that the client has asked to have another brand installed. (they have to supply them as I don't stock other brands) I have had instruments in the shop for a checkup that I did nothing more than restring with DR's and then get the comment from the owner on how much better it sounds. I know it's only a single blind test but I try not to influence the player just to see if they pick up the difference on their own. They most all invariably do. And, no, I do not try and trick anyone into thinking that it was some secret magic that I did to cause that. And lastly, the disclaimer... I do not work for DR, I do not own stock In DR, (don't think they are publicly traded anyway) and I pay regular price for my strings, I just happen to be a fan of their product. Also lets not forget the support staff and reps, very accommodating and helpful, just don't call at 8am monday or 4:30 friday (est)

I am experimenting with acoustic strings based on how my D28 sounds and which model works with my style of playing. Used one set of DRs and fell in love. Rare.One of a kind . Sorry to remove them.Your crew are key people.

I've tried many strings over a 43-year career on bass. I'm sticking with DR. They are more consistent tonally, last longer, and simply play better. I like the touch, smoothness, intonation, and above all, the tone. They're simply the best.

Been using D'addario for a while, and for some reason I never could really play with any force without getting some type of fret buzz. Enough to hear through the amp, whether it's open string buzz or fretted buzz, regardless of the guitar and despite how it's set up. Always feel like I have to hold back or be more gentle. Huge pet peeve of mine. I like picking with some dynamic. Put a set of DR's on one day and....problem solved. Dunno if D'addarios just don't fit well with me or what, but every time I put a set of DR's on any of my guitars that have something else on, they immediately play better.

Been using the highbeams on my jackson and bc richs for 20 years. Never had a complaint. Use the zebras for about 12 years and the pure blues i found maybe 8 or 9 years ago. All are amazing for different roles. The zebras on my gretsch the pure blues on my low output solid bodies. They are so smooth and creamy.

Started using Hi-Beams in the early 90's and haven't stopped since. Occasionally out of circumstance I had to use another brand, it only reminded me how much better and longer lasting DR's were.

I have a set of neon green bass strings on one of my bases for about 5 years now and for a long time at least a couple of years I played that base everyday and these string still sound amazing. I wish I had an endorsement from Dr so I can put them on 7 electric bases and 14 guitars that I currently own.

Just put on Pure Blues 10' on my strat, love the feel and tone but after 2 weeks of playing on them the D string about 1/4 inch above saddle has come unwound in just a small spot but now the string is completely dead! My 1st time using DR Strings, is this normal?

Those are vintage style round core strings. Most all modern strings have hex cores. Round cores require a little different care. Look it up online.

Love the pure blues but can you package them like 6and5 in one sleeve,4and3,etc. I keep messing up when using your strings, common sense is a fine thing to waste, thanks.

I feel they get so ignored because all the KZbin guitarists pretend they aren’t sponsored to play certain strings, whether they get paid or get free strings as payment. Guys are also so opinionated that whatever they decide to play is best because they will defend themselves. You’ll come to find out that they haven’t even tried many or any other strings. Guys build their opinions based on other guys opinions from KZbin too, but they won’t admit it. DR true blues are among the best strings available.
