I think you can watch "Naoki Urasawa no Manben" that's a series of video that Urasawa interview other mangaka and record their process of drawing. you can find some on youtube but i guess there are no English translation

I’ve been writing a novel that I want to illustrate myself into a manga (I’m an artist with many years of practise so i felt like I could) but panelling and eye catching design is a lot harder than I participated. "Monster" is one of my favourite stories! I am glad that it is digitized because, as you mentioned, the price will be affordable for a greater number of people. I really like my printed kanzen edition.
