Last May my hubby had squamous cell carcinoma on his bottom lip. He had it removed and reconstruction surgery done. He's now cancer free. Has to be checked every 6 months.

My father has been suffering from malignant melanoma for a while. As soon as one is removed and skin graft repaired another appears and so on. I am now concerned as I have never been told I am more at risk even though I am taking immunosuppressants which I believe is another risk factor. A few years ago I badly sunburnt my shoulders despite having a factor 50 sunscreen on and being outside for less than hour in the UK. since then I have had a lot more moles/freckles on my shoulders but 2 in particular bother me one feels slightly swollen and has for about a year and the other is clear and every few days will scab over. Is this something I should be worried about and get checked out by my Dr?

I have a really dark mole on my arm, it’s a little 3D. I’ve never got it checked out but my mother has always told me to keep checking it to make sure it doesn’t get bigger or darker.

Emmaaa Emmuuu from experience if it’s as big as a quarter or bigger (mine was as big as a 50cent peice), if it has cracking that looks like lava going through the mole and hurts DEFINITELY GO! I ended up needing removal of the tumor surgery but luckily we caught it in time so... yeah I remember the doctor saying if my family would have waited I would for sure had cancer
