I met Sheikh Omar way back in 1977-78 when he lectured at the University of Chicago. It was during the eve of the fall of the Shah of Iran. I still remember him saying 'laknatullah" to the Shah which the Shah really deserved. Fazlur Rahman too was still alive then, both at the university. May Allah swt bless them both. thanks Prof. wan mohamad nor.

Why did he refer to Prophet Muhammed s.a.w as Lord @1:43
@stype84683 жыл бұрын
He's using a phrase non believers can understand instead of speaking Arabic

Why is Islamic advice interpreted as force? Please do not put assume that Islam forces. My parents forced me and I too was misinformed about Islam. However Allah allowed me to discover Islam's true beauty. 'Muslims' who use Islam to harm are following culture and abuse Islam.

Thank you, it is a very important subject indeed. But, it surprises me when the marriage of Ali and Fatima (peace be upon them), ehlibeyt of our Prophet is not pronounced at all. Makes me think that there had been a long lasting and strong censorship going on about the status of Ehl'i beyt. As if; if one talks about them with respect and love (s)he will be accused as Iranian spy or hizbollah etc... but this conspiracy is relatively new, this censorship had been going on way back since Muaviya (organized), and even since the fact that Fatima never recognized Abu Bakir as Khalifa, i concluded.

Wait why is he referring to Allah as God and Mohammas sallalahu aleyhi wassalam as 'our lord'
@syedmuhammaddanielhassnain59905 жыл бұрын
According to many 'ulama it's permissible to call Allah God since there are people who will listen who are not Muslims and familiar with the name of Allah.... And Sayyid is a tittle of respect for our Prophet Muhammad saws
