Yea, now that you mention it, Vegapunk has every reason to be able to read the ancient language. He has read each and every book from Ohara, and there is no way that the language alone was not written down anywhere. Im one of the guys who are reading the current one piece chapter but tagged in when they started the war at onigashima in wano. I feel called out. I admit I catched up with the lore watching your videos and binging some arcs but its a blast so far. Yes I did not expect Dr Vegarick to look like this, but hey, its kinda neat. Also no1. sattelite vegapunk definitely has rick energy, but my favourite vegapunk is the one that eats all day.

Vegapunks apple-head might be a referenc to Sir Isaac Newton, but I think there is more to it. There is a lot of media that uses the apple as a sign of revelation in reference to Eve eating the apple from the Tree of Knowledge. For example in Deathnote Light Yagami learns a higher truth of the world when he meets Ryuk, who eats apples all the time. You see this a lot if you look out for it. So I think Vegapunks design is very appropriate, since he is THE character when it comes to revealing mysteries in the story. Also considering his ties to Ohara which was home to, guess what, the Tree of Knowledge.

Tekking, Vegapunk dialogue towards the end of the chapter mentions how the “space time bent mid way WARP”. Lucci mentions how maybe he had something to do with what happened at lulucia. What if Vegapunk managed to save the ppl of Lulucia with some sort of warping invention? We know that Vegapunk was able to implement Kizarus laser into pacifistas, and we also know he was experimenting with Kuma (who’s DF has some sort of teleportation power). This can also explain why the world government wants one of their biggest assets assassinated and why Shaka mentions he can foresee his own death. Maybe he didn’t want a repeat of Ohara & tried to avoid it this time? This can also provide oda an opportunity to reunite Sabo with Luffy/ the revolutionaries and dragon. What y’all think?

Sounds like it'd make sense, although at the same time, all the stuff at Lulucia feels/seems like it happens so fast, from everyone, both revolutionaries and WG, finding out where Sabo even is, to Im just exterminating the entire island before Sabo can tell them that he saw Im. I doubt Vegapunk would've been able to sus out Sabos hiding place before, and somehow got to Lulucia in time to use his warp on the island, not to mention him even knowing about Ims super weapon, which looks like something on a completely different level than a Buster Call, I don't think even Vegapunk would've planned for that.

Kumas devil fruit didnt have any teliportation ability. It was only reflection and repellant. When he swiped at people, they were sent flying at fast speeds, it wasnt instant. I think most straw hats took a couple days before they actually arrived to their sent island. Its definitely faster than sailing, but not an instant teliport.

I think its possible that the cp0 agents may already be on the island. Their whole point of expertise is elimination and assassination, right? It makes most sense that some of our exposition will be interrupted, and that some, or all, (or hell even none) of the Vegapunks survive. Most likely only one will and they will serve the rest of the exposition at the end b4 we head off somewhere else (which in of itself is most likely elbaf now).

I agree, One Piece is fully of wacky, crazy character designs, and True Vegapunk is just a pinnacle of that. The enormous cranium, the dragging tongue like a dog on a hot day, everything is perfect. Old Vegapunk looks more normal comparatively, but that is made up by the Einstein resemblance. Personally, Shaka's Guy-Manuel Helmet trumps every other punk design, but I've enjoyed them all.

This just in from 2023: the Japanese voice actor for Rick Sanchez, Yohei Tadano, was announced as the voice for Vegapunk Stella. So in a roundabout way Rick Vegapunk is canon
