Go read about the case and the evidence and the trial and the appeals and the confessions and come back and tell me that this man is the best person. If you have a conscience and read those things you will retract your statement. Most people like this feel good stuff and don’t actually care about the truth so they don’t look into it. I grew up when this happened, and we must be aware how any false accusation can harm someone and their families forever, because i remember people from his own community believed what the media was saying. And were blaming them for those false accusations, especially after Trump paid for that ad in the NYT, especially just because people with money were supposed to be believable ,and honest, and those with out were not. Good thing we know better now, and with the internet how it is today, let's just be careful .

The sad part is, people think of slavery as a black person history. It isn't. The Slave Trade was set up by people in Africa, and probably is still practiced today. The Hebrews were enslaved in Egypt for centuries. Even in the US, as bad as slavery was/is, the culture that had the highest requirements to gain statehood was Utah/Mormons. Even Today, the price for a blond haired, blue eyed teenager that has been human trafficked is far more than her black counter part. Civil Rights is not Black History, it is all of Human History.
