DR800S (1990)

Based on feedback acquired from the Paris-Dakar factory racer DR-Z, its production version dubbed "DR800S BIG" had Suzuki's latest technologies such as Suzuki Advanced Cooling System and twin-balancer shafts. One-piece design of engine shroud, big fuel tank and front fender was distinctive for this big off-roader.

It would have been nice if this model made it to the U.S. back when it was produced. But, at least we continue to get the mighty DR650, and I can't complain about that.

@@DogsOnAcid vibrations, very short range of useful rpm, short engine life, sound like shit, frequent oil change/service interview, terrible on road, oh and did I mention vibrations? Single is fine in Mx/ enduro, nothing else

Dr 800 jest ogólnie bardzo trwałym motocyklem, silniki bez problemów robią duże przebiegi nawet w upale i błocie, prawda że jest to singiel i inaczej oddaje moc,ale po prostu trzeba znaleźć ten zakres obrotów w którym silnik jest najbardziej efektywny, jedni go kochają i nie zamienią na żaden inny, drugim wciąż będzie coś przeszkadzać ,w końcu to jest motocykl z 1990 roku i wtedy był jednym z najlepszych na świecie, jak ktoś go porównuje do BMW Gs to sorry.

Bring back, big bore single with EFI and 6 speed. Keep it under 180kg and you have a winner. Also update drz400, make it 450, also efi and 6 speed, and destroy the motorcycle market with those two bikes.

The problem is that in ordee to update the drz, it would lose its grandfathered status. It would require a complete redesign from the ground up, and the cost would likely go through the roof (cfr450l anyone?).
