Draconic Sorcerer / Tempest Cleric Build Guide: Baldur's Gate 3 ⚡

One of the strongest multiclasses in Baldur's Gate 3, the Lightning Draconic Sorcerer / Tempest Cleric is powerful. You can clear entire encounters on turn 1 using this build. Twinned haste and quickened lightning spells can cause pure havoc on the battlefield, paired with create water and its game over for the opponents! Draconic sorcerer can get by with clothing since it gets a 13AC from the draconic resilience.
This is one of the most effective builds in Baldur's gate 3 and I provided a couple ways you can build this out, depending on what act you are in, and what your preference in levels is. I did 11 sorcerer / 1 cleric but 10 sorcerer / 2 cleric or 6 sorcerer / 6 cleric also work. The draconic sorcerer gets fly at level 11 which is pretty powerful. Great video man! Cant decide which multiclass I like better for Tempest Cleric. Draconic or Storm. Glad you made a guide for both!

I have one of each on one playthrough 😂 I prefer draconic because the permanent mage armour is nice early on, and the fly you get from draconic doesn’t require a bonus action! They also get increased lightning damage but lose out on call lightning. The tempest cleric at level 1 gives some other features the storm sorcerer gets. Sorcerer is my favorite class in BG3

i know im late but im starting a new playthrough and this build is reminiscent of my dnd character (maul/shield + dragonic Sourc) what background would you recommend?

You can go sage or noble and it’ll feel relevant!

Is it more powerful / better than the storm sorcerer cleric cause now might change my storm sorcerer cleric to this

The biggest differences is Storm sorcerer has to use a bonus action to fly, and they get call lightning. The draconic sorcerer gets increased lightning damage if you chose the ancestry I did in this video, and they get mage armor permanently. They also can fly at level 11 without using a bonus action which is nice. 1 level of tempest cleric gives a lot of what the Storm sorcerer gets by leveling up, it’s personally up to you! Both are very powerful but draconic gets to add the charisma modifier to lightning damage which is nice

@@JasonDunna still havnt made up my mind as on level 4 rn storm sorcerer kinda do want to change to draconic for more health and you get unique diolouge but storm gets more spells probs will try out both

Decided to go draconic till sorcerer lvl 6 apparently it's better

@@Emolilyx honestly both are S tier classes so you can’t go wrong with either! The wild magic sorcerer is the weakest due to it being random, but even then it’s still a sorcerer so it’s very strong

Witch bolt is very good for min-maxxing dmg late game IIRC

It’s mehhh compared to chromatic orb or chain lightning. Since the concentration on witch bolt reverts to the level 1 version after your turn

Yes! It’s best to spell cast as the sorcerer and cleric are full casters, but you can attack and use a quickened spell if you’d like

consider running using dual hand bows on your Lightning and cold casters. and load them with plenty of water. why? first dropping items cost no action. moving items cost no action. water bottles has 1 hp. items can not dodge. for a bonus action you can wet someone who is close with your off hand hand bow.leaving your main action to nuke them with double damage.

In the video I talk about using mage hand to throw water bottles for you! You can also get a trident that applies wet or use a teammate to set up water. Even the water myrmidon can apply water so there’s tons of great options, thanks for sharing that one!
