If you go upstream on the river and stay on your seat. There's a rope and log upstream next to the overpass that you can interact with from your seat. It allows you to anchor your boat to the shore. It's the closest spot to the shop to park.

You can get to the shop by moped if you take a right at the end of the dirt road to the house and then when you get to the fallen trees, take a left onto the dirt road go all the way down and then you’ll come to the other main road that leads you to the shops and houses

The waterlock is basically a burper for the bucket. It lets gas escape by burping through the lock and expelling it. It burps often in the first few days to a week and slows down as less gas escapes.

A bit of brewing stuff from my youth: As others have explained, the airlock (no idea why people are calling it a water lock) is to allow CO2 to escape during brewing in a closed fermentation system. The reason the kilju should ferment without a lids is it does. There's even a brewing method called open fermentation. White Rabbit brewery near me actually has a screen in the bar for a camera in their open fermentation room, and you can see the beer bubbling away. The idea is that you keep it in a cellar, with no movement of air, so a layer of CO2 forms on top of the wort, killing any bacterias and moulds before it can get established.

The valve is a air lock, it allows gases to leave the container from building pressure from the yeast that produces co2 while keeping outside contaminations/bugs to get in as they love to get into fermentations.

So to explain a bit about brewing. The small little gadget that you put on top that is your air lock it prevents oxygen from getting into your Brew while it is not necessarily essential it will greatly increase the likelihood of your batch not spoiling. Bucket obviously holds everything the lid protects the brew from having stuff fall into it and also as part of the seal. And then which has a hole in a gasket to make an airtight seal and then you put the air lock in to basically finish the seal. It tends to have a little bit of either vinegar, alcohol, saline solution, or sanitizer solution. It allows gas to escape while not allowing gas in does co2 that is produced by the yeast is heavier than oxygen so it will slowly Purge the system. Basically it prevents it from just straight-up rotting instead of fermenting it prevents mold add a number of bacteria from getting in and causing problems it also prevents flies and all sorts of other stuff

The yeast produces CO2 (hence beers carbonation) and without the airlock, the pressure builds up and stops the yeast from doing its job. If you're really unlucky, it blows up your kitchen and you have a giant sugary mess that's impossible to clean. Ask me how I know...

The Plastic lock is called a air lock as fermentation happens it pushes air that is in the bucket out and doesn't allow air to get back in to spoil your product.

One thing you gotta keep an eye on is your backpack.... Frustrating having that thing fall off, then you go and use it, and it's not there on your back, and I have to back track like I'm doing ATM. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or made to just fall off? Edit: ive noticed i was holding E when doing things instead of using 1. Like if you hold E trying to start the boat for too long backpack plops in the water. E is the use button/dropping the backpack your wearing.
