On another note, I see they changed the perks a bit. It definitely couldn't have been anything to do with a Spiff'n Brit getting free stuff by calculatingly abusing....I mean exploiting the perk of getting a 20% discount from purchases 5 times in a video. Nope, definitely not.

Drae the magnets are amazing. You clump everything and it makes your magnet way better. Also you are amazing. I love how you never read and just screw up. You were supposed to select 2 items and yet you selected 1. Classic Drae not reading and struggling. Drae let's go honey with a magnet guy. A little magnet. No let's not get that as a magnet guy. Let's keep the honey. Frig off honey I am getting rid of it. Okay lets get rid of a shield and keep the honey. Frig off honey dang honey. Let's shred another shield and keep the honey. Classic Drae logic.

To be perfectly clear on the other end of the story, magnets can really screw you over as well if you go too far with them. It's a balancing act. Having a machine full of nothing but upgraded magnets and daggers and other metal stuff, you end up clogging the chute. It's about a 2 upgraded magnet limit for the acceptable amount of jank (the magnets attracting each other and making a clump of metal fly around in the machine.) More than that, issues will start popping up. Less than that, you might as well be running a different build.

@steeljawX Yes but he didn't get a single one. But yes if they didn't fix the magnet issue it does clog. I remember having 3 fully upgraded and it clogged up and I went 5 rounds of trying to unclog my chute and it finally dropped. It was very annoying. They need an unclog button. Or when the magnets make a U shape and things don't go into the chute because everything is holding it back from the other side. But one magnet maybe two would be amazing. And why on earth did he not make his holy shield metal or his poisons metal. Especially since he had free alchemy. I love Drae but he is definitely absent minded.

Drae wants a lot of metal items for the big magnet, Drae also refuses to take the magnet item that is like the honey for metal items...

Well....The problem Drae's in is that he commentates and records his gameplay. Due to this, we know that he basically started applying his own assumed logic to the game. The big wooden shield is a BIG item, which is a given. Magnets don't really have a "max" attraction that they can run out of, but in his mind weight can overpower attraction. It's true to a point, but there's also distance and blockage (non-magnetic things between that create distance) on top of the violent movements of the magnet claw. His mind is simplifying the whole thing as a magnet item can't be any better than the magnet claw and all it's going to do is become a heavy object because it gets weighted down by several other objects. The reality is that the item magnets in some cases extends the reach of the magnet claw. Again, this is his rambling and commentary on it (with some psycho-analysis being assumed on my part) that basically is pointing towards he's got this assumption. Having played plenty of the demo, I'm just going to sit here and wait until he gets 3 upgraded magnets and gets his first magnet ball rolling in his machine.

I don't know if you're saying it for the showmanship or if you really haven't played the demo since the various updates that have been put on that (the demo of all things), but we've had a bunch of those characters for a while. From Sir Bunalot to Bernie, those were all available to unlock and play as. The ones after Bernie are new. The gimmicks of each are tricky and require a lot of reading and careful planning. For your own sake, I'd suggest getting a bit of experience in this game before you ever try Bernie. Everyone else of the known characters that I'm aware of just have simple gimmicks. Bernie has a timer on his claw time. If you don't use the claw within that time, the claw will go automatically. If you've ran out of time and the claw has started to drop and you press the drop button just slightly later than the time running out, the game will count it as you pressing the drop button to then stop the claw and close it (which is a valid strat to get things higher on piles.) Which means you'll just grab mid air and not get anything from it. Knowing you Drae, you will lose your f*ck'n mind from Bernie's gimmick if you do not know what items do what. That time limit is brutal, so get decent before you try him. Even if you unlock him, wait until you're comfortable with just about every other mechanic in the game before playing as him.

Pro strat with Scrappy's magnet is to swing it before you drop it. The thing swings back and forth and most things caught on the left side of the magnet tends to fall back into the machine. You can get the pattern down to swing the magnet, drop it, and have it land on it's right side, so the majority of everything is more prone to land in the chute rather than get caught or fall out. It's a small thing, but it can make a bit of a difference with the RNG physics of things falling in the chute.

Another great strategy is to combine the Hoarder Perk with the Junk Jet Perk and just keep stacking them. You spend your first turn getting defense to survive the first attack and if you don't die, the enemies will from multiple Junk Jets hitting them for each item thrown into the machine. You stack enough Hoarder and you can actually get it to where the machine will overflow into the chute. Slap Vampirism stacks onto this combo and you heal for every time Junk Jet deals damage (not for every damage it deals) and you basically have an "Eminem" build. They got one shot. One opportunity. Their knees are weak; palms are sweaty. If they don't take you out, they're done. If they don't die in that 1 round of refilling the machine, it still doesn't matter too much. They couldn't kill you on round 1. There's little they can do in round 2 that would change anything. Junk Jet can't be dodged or reflected. so it's a for sure death by 10,000,000 cuts. It's a fun one to use if you can get the correct perks going. One you'll probably enjoy because you just get to sit there and watch enemies fall to the inevitability of the games mechanics.
