i mean this shit like comparing an oil painting and a ink drawing. one ain't better than the other but the styles so different it's almost strange to be comparing them in the first place. flexing is such an artistic, expressive form, it doesn't lend itself to battling against other dance styles. jookin on the other hand is damn near the perfect style for battling.

MEMPHIS VS BROOKLYN This battle is actually a battle of G.O.A.Ts if you're in the know with both styles. For the uninitiated, X's style is Flexn. Both styles have a deep culture and history and have a top level dancer representing their style. Its hard for me to decide, but from a spectator's point of view I can understand that Jookin look more pleasing to the eye. Shout out to the cameraman too! The first round you can tell they aint used to filming Flexn, but adapted really well in the 2nd round.

@ZangetsuDDR3 жыл бұрын
@@Cosmic_Chris idk man it's just confusing for the folks who actually understand what goes into both styles, and severe style clashes like this make assessment unnecessarily hard on the judges (unless it was crowd reaction sourced which would be even worse lol) These two styles aren't even REMOTELY similar. Both of these men are amazing dancers but about the only common thing between them is that they require some degree of flexibility but that's about it. They're speaking two different languages to each other and these two styles in a battle just looks awkward.

Dra’em went out there and made flawless rounds. That’s all that matters. However, I was paying close attention to Xavier. I am a hardcore draem fan and a jookin fan/dancer. but I have to give an unbiased opinion; Anyone that thinks this was a land slide doesn't know anything about dance and are definitely just biased in the style they like. I don't feel like you lost draem, but I don't feel like you won either(though its not always about that). The only thing I can say is that it looked like you were trying a lot more than X was, to the point he damn near disrespected you, like he didn't take you seriously. I'm not sure what my point is, but maybe I feel like you coulda been more in the zone or came a little harder. despite the different styles X looked a little more advanced and precise in his than you did in yours in this one.

@InfernityKnight3 жыл бұрын
@@Shaungotjokes That's the dumbest and most biased thing I ever heard. first anyone that dances in any form (jookin included) the importance of utlizing your arms(draem included) Dancing is about using your body to move to music and there are so many different styles that utilize their body to move in ways to interperate and illustrate specific music. Dance battle wise dream won hands down. Performance wise X will get more votes due to its popularity, art style, and music selection. Jookin is most definitely the best dance style to me but they hate on y'all content because of the gangsta rap they dance to. Its kinda of hard to judge a battle when two styles are completely different tho. Jookin actually consist of dancing why the other is a art form that express emotions through a musical. They both cold but I don't think these styles mix in a battle unless jookin can match a round by playing musical that show more performance than dancing. It most definitely can be done but on the flip side they not on jookin levels when it comes to dancing to rap genre's
@kee9310003 жыл бұрын
Isn't the point of a dance battle is to actually dance? All see is a bunch of flexible movement in his arms. Can he actually dance...at all? That's what I was thinking while watching. Maybe it's me but a lot of these other styles seem to have no real rhythm involved. 🤷🏾♂️

@@calebdavis381 That's exactly how I look at it. Even though I've seen ballet where dance is actually incorporated into it. They should figure out how to do all of that bone breaking shit while dancing. X stood primarily in one spot the entire battle. He didn't work the floor at all. @@HamIAm a new generation is cool of course. Their will always be newer, fresher minds but the basics is what makes it what it is. 1 of the reasons you see some battles and they look so dull or repetitive. You shouldn’t have to hype yourself when the crowd should beget hype from your abilities alone. Whether it be beat killing or power moves. But moving to the beat is very important.
