I've done some general stuff, and It just seems that a 1 if they are the talent will be a better bet then a 2 because the best 2 tends to top out at 15-20. The pass happy, Elite QB and no big inj. will translate that those top 2's are safe strong plays especially on off/inj weeks for the 1. But when you have a Herbert/Tua/Baker with clear #1's I don't think it's even close. There's so many variables when you get away from the top top pos. players on teams that going with eye test athletes, who have an elite QB, on a strong team is the right way to go a lot of the time. Or else you just aren't playing the %'s. Guys who haven't been injury prone also is a thing.

Interesting thought but I can only think of a few WR2s I would want want over a team's primary WR. But it all comes down to targets. Diggs, Puka, Waddle, Deebo/Aiyuk, Higgins.

Yes and no. Draft good players on good teams in the early rounds, but later draft good players on bad teams. Draft the players the teams are depending on. Good players on good teams sometimes do well, but most good teams are well rounded teams. Bad teams tend to depend too much on certain players giving them all their fantasy points. Think of Aman Ra St-Brown his rookie year. He was a good fantasy player, but the Lions were 3-13. Fantasy Football is simple, it's about individual achievement. It's not about how well teams do, but yeah it's also smart to draft good players on good teams in the early rounds. Later in the draft though look for good players on bad teams.

@nateunderhill18453 ай бұрын
@@charlessmith2176 I am more referencing that being projected the highest means very little, especially in a large tourney like BBM. I find the highest projected are often the teams that spent too much capital at QB. But I agree that multiple strategies are viable. I personally think it will be hard to win something like BBM without going fairly heavy at WR, because late RBs are more likely to explode weeks 15-17 than late WRs, but I also appreciate you can win using any strategy. Mainly was referring to the projections meaning little when the goal is top .0001% and they don't factor in team construction or the handful of late RBs every year that shatter their price tag. If you look at the top RB scorers from weeks 15-17 each year, there are many more late round guys than if you look at the same list for WRs.

This idiom doesn’t work simply because of availability at the most crucial time. The best teams run the risk of CLINCHING early; thus, come week 18, a.k.a. our FF SUOERBOWL, might find a 15 win Ravens team sitting Lamar, Henry, and Andrews, and anyone who road them all year to regular season success loses the big one. Backups are gold, and need to be from a team still chasing postseason so all their studs are on the field in week 18.

Feels hard to swallow the Dallas pill given that Dak had a career year with 4500yards and 36 TDs, and yet beyond CeeDee Lamb, there wasn't much fantasy relevance to be had. It's hard to imagine how that's possible and yet it kinda was. Michael Gallup is gone but he only had 400 yards. If you add all 400 to Cooks maybe he hits, but it's two years in a row with sub 700 yards for him. Might just be a case where Lamb has a big year or the offense takes a step back. Buffalo feels like the same boat. Allen didn't light the world on fire passing-wise, and that was with Diggs (1100) and Davis (700). Given that Kincaid is the most likely candidate to lead the team in targets, it feels like their extremely ambiguous WR room is priced where it should be, no? Doesn't seem far off from the Ravens, who didn't produce a top option at these positions. Mobile quarterback buoying an offense with a good TE and a gadget WR (Zay/Samuel). Just seems like they're equally likely to take a step back in terms of passing game production as they are to produce a breakout hit other than Kincaid. I feel pounding the table too hard for those teams is missing the "good players" part of the good players on good teams philosophy. The Chiefs I would agree there is tangible value being left at those prices, given that sheer variance could see their numbers actually bounce back up, whereas Dallas and Buffalo are already starting at high numbers with lesser players trying to recreate even those.
@vidalrodriguez20013 ай бұрын
I feel like Jake Ferguson is getting slept on in that there is potential for him to have a strong, substantial role in the offense with potential for a large target share. I don't think Cooks, Zeke, and Tolbert will cave out large enough roles to leave Ferguson with crumbs, they'll continue to air it out like they did last year and score points at a top 10 offensive clip. There's only so much of the ball Ceedee can get, Ferguson is a young TE too, athletic enough to be a play extender and has good TD upside. To say he's not relevant enough to do well in-season, and potentially in the playoffs, I think is incorrect. The Cowboys also have a friendly playoff schedule as well.
@TheAliasGaming3 ай бұрын
@@vidalrodriguez2001 yeah Ferguson was good last year and might be even better this year, but that’s at TE. Totally different conversation and threshold you gotta hit to make a difference. This vid was talking about WRs and RBs, and how they correlate to top offenses. Dallas might be a top offense, but I think how that translates to fantasy falls off a cliff after CeeDee and Ferguson, and ADP accurately reflects that for a reason
@vidalrodriguez20013 ай бұрын
@@TheAliasGaming making a difference in making the playoffs/advancing further? He's a part of the equation of the passing game in Dallas, that's why I mention him. I think he's a good value where he's going, a few rounds after the very elite TE’s go when he has potential to keep you well positioned at TE compared to a Goedert, Kmet, or Schultz later on. It doesn't look like any late round TE will be worth as much as LaPorta or McBride were last year. I view Ferguson as a very viable, relative bargain of a TE with playoff upside. With the question marks surrounding the Cowboys, what helps them is that they still have a good continuity regarding their players, compared to a Buffalo. Cooks is a vet, Zeke has been with the team all his career, but one year, they will be able to maximize him for whatever that is worth and there's a very clearly defined role for him. Ferguson is a 3rd-year TE who I believe will continue to get more comfortable with Dak and grow his role. The biggest question marks are low cost picks like Dowdle and Tolbert. I think Dowdle is worth his price point and can be a value. I highly doubt he's a crash-out candidate and will have a solid, split-backfield role with Zeke
