Do you use Kool Lube? You spray it on the blades while working and it instantly cools them down. It's so nice that you check their temperature so often. I love at the end how he is feeling all superstar. lol

Lol...of course he has to roll in the dirt when your done! He is so stunning though. What a gift he is! I also love how you communicate with him in such a positive, gentle way!

I just wanted to say thank you for all the new content. Your KZbin channel is the only one where I have watched every single video and get excited when new ones come out. I am just returning to riding as an adult (lessons and a grooming lease at 2 different barns), so your content is perfect for me. I am on the East coast, so 97% of riding is English show/jump/dressage (no interest for me), so I am enthralled by anything trail-centric. Big double thumbs up from Maine!!!

Congrats on your return to riding!! I am super excited for you! I totally get not being into the English stuff, I think it's beautiful to watch but isn't my jam either. Your comment made my day, thank you. So grateful to have you watching!

If you ever shave too close on a white patch, regular "Coppertone Pure and Simple" will protect them just fine until the hair grows back in. Desitin (kids' diaper cream) also works really well for areas that can get wet and end up with skin issues like pastern dermatitis etc. It gets rid of the icky stuff and acts as a complete mineral sun block. It doesn't smell awesome but it works for people sun block as well in a pinch.

Genius! Thanks for this. If I ever have to use the Desitin I’ll get to make big baby jokes 😂

Do you wash him off after to get all the loose hairs off?
@HappieronaHorse2 жыл бұрын
Nah, he rolls and that takes care of it lol.

Just curious but why did you not leave a saddle patch that was unclipped? We always left one but maybe it's due to the difference in climate? Gets really hot and humid here. Like today the actual temp is 88 but heat index is 100.
@HappieronaHorse3 жыл бұрын
Yikes that sounds intense! We don't get that humid...he seems to do ok without the saddle patch and I like the look without.

You should braid him and keep his tail in a tail bag but if you do do the brides ever 7-10 days

Your horse has dark skin even though his fur is white, he won’t get sunburned.

Unfortunately the white areas, including his muzzle, are pink. ☹️
