I just want to send a quick thanks for not ignoring the 1qb format. I am in a league that was started in 2005 before superflex took over. I went into my 12 team 1qb rookie draft as an expansion team with a blank roster and the 1.06, the 2.06, and the 3.06. I wanted to make sure to come away with a top QB because the waiver wire is bare. Since it's 1QB I traded the 1.06 for the 1.09 and 2.07, figuring one of Williams or Daniels would be there. I was correct, as the first 8 picks were Brooks, Bowers, and 6 WRs. I take Williams at 1.09, Adonai Mitchell goes at 1.10, JJ McCarthy goes at 1.11, and Jayden Daniels goes at 1.12. I decide to make a move and trade the 2.07 and 3.06 for the 2.01 and move up and grab Benson. Good call by me because the 2.02 had him locked and loaded, and pivoted to Corum instead. At 2.06 I had both Keon Coleman and Ricky Pearsall on my board, but I wanted to try to come out of the draft with 2 WRs so I put my pick up and ended up trading back for the 2.10 and 3.10. 2.06 and 2.07 both go RB so my plan is looking good, then the guy who has both the 2.08 and 2.09 AND took a WR in round 1 double snipes me and picks both Pearsall AND Coleman with his two picks! I have to pivot and it came down to Roman Wilson and Troy Franklin. I end up taking Wilson, then take Javon Baker with the 3.10. Overall I was happy with how it turned out, but I'm wondering if I got a bit too cute with that last trade and I would've been better off taking Coleman at the 2.06 and calling it a day. Any thoughts? I'm always looking to learn and improve. Thanks!

the thing with 1 qb is most guys have a good qb option or more. In my draft Caleb went 2.01, I got Daniels 2.06 and Maye fell to the 3rd

That was my thinking too then the guy who has Hurts, Love, and Mayfield decided he needed to take Caleb at 1.06. I took Brooks at 1.05 because I thought there was no scenario that he’d go before my next pick at 1.08 but I was wrong. I took Daniels at 1.10, McCarthy went 2.02 (in a 10 team) somehow, and then I took Maye at 3.04 I’ve learned to expect the unexpected

just had my 1 qb draft went 1.3 rome 1.12 XL 2.3 Wright 2.8 Sinnott 3.4 Baker 3.9 Nix Qbs went 1.9 caleb 2.10 daniels 3.2 maye 3.5 Jj 3.9 Nix I traded 27 first for daniels following draft

I think so yeah. I’d trade down if I’m considering him. But go value over need when potentially elite dynasty assets on the board imo
