Wassup with the Ds this year?? I always took a cheap one but last week I spent 4000 on FD for the first time in ever (DET). It paid off. Questioning my time tested strategy of getting cheap Ds.

Hi Mike. By nature, defenses are volatile. So, they can certainly pay off, especially if you spend up. However, relative to other positions, defenses pay off with less consistency. That's why we usually try to strategically pick defenses we like among the defenses in the bottom 25% in pricing.

@@FantasyFootballConsultants Tx. I'm just wondering if there is a little less volatility this year ? Bottom 25% is pretty close to what I've been doing. But I may be less strict in the future based on recent experience. Wouldn't say I've been "burned" by cheap Ds, but they have pulled my roster down. I will also consider middle of the road Ds for cash games more seriously.
