The video aptly highlighted the product's standout feature - its remarkable ease in incorporating custom components. Awesome, it's' a Game-Changer for React front-end form development. It would be cool also to assign custom components not only a name and properties but also an icon from a preset set, to visually quickly distinguish a button from a picture or a label from a text field in my custom components list. I recently came across an insightful KZbin review on formengine, and I must say it has truly impressed me as a front-end developer working in an enterprise-level company.

Thank you for the relevant comment and for the idea. We are proud to inform you that in the current version, there is already a feature that allows you to assign an icon from a preset set to visually distinguish a button from a picture or a label from a text field in your custom components list more easily You can use the [icon](formengine.io/documentation/api-reference/classes/react_form_builder_core.Definer#icon) method to define the icon of a component. Sample code: const ButtonIcon = () => { return Icon } export const myButton = define(Button, 'MyButton') .name('Button') .icon(ButtonIcon)

How to divide Container into multiple columns ?
@MRV-kd4nc5 ай бұрын
1. Can we have all custom fields only allowed to be added into form? 2. Can we save form as PDF? 3. It's nice if you can show in video on how to add fields side by side, is there only option to use + sign and add before/after the component?

Questions about custom fields are not entirely clear to provide a definite answer. The best idea would be to discuss this in the GitHub discussions at this link; we'll be happy to provide you with an answer github.com/optimajet/formengine/discussions

I'm playing with it and it's really cool. My question is, Can I used antd design package instead of rsuit?
@optimajet6 ай бұрын
Thank you for question Alexandro We are planning to add several design packages, including Ant, but we cannot yet give an exact timeline. The advantage of our product is that, if necessary, you can easily embed the packages you need, as well as use individual components from them. Here is an example of embedding a component: formengine.io/documentation/custom-components#example-of-a-custom-component-definition

The Form builder is really good and user friendly. I have integrated it in my local system and i am looking for some customizations. How can i customise the default options in the form builder like removing the save button, remove the theme option etc. Can you provide any useful resources.

Hi You can hide specific parts of the interface using CSS selectors. If needed, we can provide you with the selector for the part of the interface you want to hide. For example, if you want to hide the buttons for calling the code editor, you can use this css: .FormBuilder .Property > .CodeButton { display: none; } Sorry for the late response, we didn't immediately notice the comment. I want to implement this on my react project i want to know if i can load from the json the form and save it to my sqlserver db or edit it and do the same, i want to know how can i manipulate each input on the form.
@optimajet23 күн бұрын
Thank you for this question. Yes, it's definitely possible and can be done quite easily! You can load the form from JSON and save it to your SQL Server, or edit it and save it as well. To achieve this, you can refer to the following documentation: Loading the form from JSON formengine.io/documentation/getting-form-json Saving and editing forms using Form Storage formengine.io/documentation/form-storage These guides provide detailed steps on how to manipulate individual form inputs, so you'll find everything you need to implement it in your React project. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Can you able to upload how to do API connections in the form build from the frontend and backend
@optimajet7 ай бұрын
Hi, You can access the desired API through actions that are called on a specific event (for example, onСlick), and in them you can define data for any component: formengine.io/documentation/actions#custom-actions You can also make any properties and fields of the component computable, and also use the API there to get data. Calculated properties are recalculated every time the form state changes: formengine.io/documentation/computed-properties Sorry for the late response, we didn't immediately notice the comment. Hi If you need JSON that contains the form model in FormBuilder, you can use the FormBuilder ref: formengine.io/documentation/forms-json#get-the-forms-json-in-react-component Sorry for the late response, we didn't immediately notice the comment.
