Drag free braking system at Renault Trucks

Renault Trucks has now introduced a new braking system on Renault Trucks T, C and K, called Drag Free.
On previous system, a residual friction could remain between pads and discs after braking.
A spring is now used to pull back the pads after braking. This allows removing residual friction, leading to a major fuel consumption drop: tests have shown up to 0,5% reduction for a 33T 4x2 tractor!
As the pads wear, the spring moves forward on the retainer and continues to play its role in bringing the pads back.
