Really loved the direction the conversation took, didn't expect to go in on media representation the way we did! And the antagonism of Drag Kings was something I wasn't entirely clear on either!! SUCH a great talk!
@fjordsi74046 жыл бұрын
Annie Elainey I didn't know that about Drag Kings either! It was very interesting learning about the various types of drag. It sucks that there isn't enough representation.

Oh, when you talked about disabled characters as villains, it also made me think of the movie villains with mental health conditions. 😒 Conflating mental illness with abusive behaviour. Like for one example, a particularly popular movie with a villain who “has” (an extremely inaccurate depiction of) dissociative identity disorder. 😠 When people with mental health conditions, particularly the more stigmatized ones, are actually highly victimized, traumatized and retraumatized, and villainized in real life.
