Yeah taping can be problematic. If you're a king regularly, don't. I mean I never tape because it doesn't hold well and hurts my skin.

you can buy a binder but i'm not sure where from, tumblr.com has a lot of advice about safe binding but i suggest do your research to the max. sports bras can give a partial bind but if you're a size G, thats prob not gonna help much

Alaina Little sorry to weigh in on a really old comment. but binding occasionally using tape will not hurt you. keyword: occasionally the REALLY dangerous binding technique is using ace bandages - those are harmful because they are meant to apply pressure to swollen wounds. so when you breathe in, they constrict around your ribs tighter and tighter. taping has nowhere near the same effect if you do it properly and sparingly.

FranckByNature i would assume it's because drag queens are so popular and drag kings are not. everyone who watches rupaul's drag race catches on fast that you should properly refer to queens as 'she'. there's no pop culture for kings though, so it's kind of awkward and new and no one knows what to do when they encounter one.

+Confetti Sprinkles It's actually really not that painful. I use gauze over my nipples to protect the sensitive parts from the tape. So long as it's not used for super long OR using the right tape, it doesn't hurt nearly as much ^^ (of course, everyone is different. But for me, as far as I know, it's like getting a tattoo)

tbh it's not as bad as long as its for short periods of time. i wore duct tape for over 12 hours once and that was a mistake. i'd recommend a real binder lol

And if there isn't one out there yet....one needs to be invited for these guys, and really all guys who bind. As long as you use the appropriate tape, it's basically tucking with titties. Using ace bandages or other bandages designed for handling swollen wounds is the dangerous way, every time you breathe in theyll constrict the ribcage. Using normal bandaids over the nipples/areolas and then duct taping boobs into the armpit is much safer.

It can bad with enough frequency. I know folks scarred from it who are kings. If you're doing non-open chest use a binder. Only reason to ever tape is for open chest drag or topless.
