Hi Collette. Pls don’t be so hard on yourself. Perfect is overrated. I like that you show us techniques and your struggles. We all have those days hon 😍. Remember that for many many people your videos are the highlight of their day. Be blessed 😍😍

I love that you show mess ups, mistakes, trial and error. That way when I'm going through those too I know even people that paint frequently do it too.

I have tried to do a drag marble tree several times so i fully understand your frustration. 🎄❄ I do enjoy the 12 days Christmas series just the same 😊

amber dunning Like the person said above, doing the tree as a decal would be easier and it’s not such a disaster if you mess it up.

I actually really love this design. So sweet. I super love it. A few questions: 1. Why not make the tree as a decal dragging the green tree through clear polish? That could make it easier. 2. After the white dots put on the northern lights holo top coat. I think that would add a little punch. 3. For a star, just do a gold dot and make a drag marble star. 4. To plan ahead for next year try doing one design a month, and then by November you will have 10 and you only have two more left. I love your work! Thanks for all the hard work!

Excellent points! I think when Colette does her designs, it s after a day's work and is tired. At least I think so, as a few vids she did earlier on her channel, were late in the evening time.
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
it definitely would work as a decal - I'm usually too impatient to wait for them to dry though, and applying them is not my favorite thing. I wanted to keep this one on the simple side, that's why I didn't add any glitter or a star on top - more a tree outside than a decorated tree. I do plan designs all year, but having an idea and actually figuring out how to execute are 2 different things LOL, I have probably 2 dozen ideas when I start the series and only about half work out once I start testing with polish.

This would be another one that would look well on short nails, now I have too many choices. 🤣. Maybe I’ll wait until after you’ve posted all the days and then do 10 of them. 1 on each finger. Ha ha

that would be cute too! That's what I did the first year I did this series, the first 10 days were all different designs of one mani

I love your designs so much! Frustration and all, I think this turned out super cute! Question, how long does a bottle of Seche Vite last you? Thanks!
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
I would take a guess at maybe a month but I'm not completely sure - I usually buy a set that's a normal bottle & then a 4 oz refill bottle, and I refill once the bottle gets about half empty (so I'm not struggling with my top coat like I was with this blue!)

you said it there! looking at them so close while painting them is completely different than how most people will see it, or how you see it yourself while wearing a mani

How long does an average drag marble take to dry and do you use quick dry lacquer or do you rely on seche vite to dry them for you?
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
I usually rely on seche vite, with that a drag marble doesn't take any longer to dry than a normal mani
