@Enough is Enough he did a duel catfish scheme, it’s a bit complex but I’ll sum it up. So he, as himself, would meet guys that were wanting to do tv or movies, you know get into the entertainment industry and tell them he knew someone. He’d then connect with them through email while posing as a woman named Allison Mossey. He AS ALLISON, would talk about a show with HBO and what she was looking for in terms of actors playing the character and everything else, and then direct them to deal with Joey (person in interview) because she trusts him. So then he as himself would meet them in person and describe what “Allison” wants and that for them to sometimes take steroids, do sexual acts on camera and other things that violated them but it was framed in a way that it was all for this big role on HBO and it was artistic but it was really just for him to...do what he wanted to do with that footage or relationship he made with that person. Then he would just stop contacting them. It was ongoing for a long time and something that some other NY queens heard slight whisperings of but no one had any idea it was as terrible as it is. He was one of the contestants on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12 which aired last year when the pandemic began. The allegations- which he has admitted to- came out right before/during the premiere. He was subsequently edited out of the season even though he was one of the finalists. For so many reasons it’s just terrible and deplorable. Edit: I hope I’m not offending anyone or downplaying it. I just wanted to give a summary in order for people to understand.

He came very prepared. In fact, he had a whole year and a half to figure out how he was going to dig himself out of this mess. Joey was most definitely not prepared. He did not think his interviewer was going ask him confrontational questions using loaded language about his sexual abuse and financial fraud. Tamron did not call his behavior "catfishing" to start. For instance, she asked him why he did it, and he says because "control" and also because he is "sorry." She asked him who would do this to a friend, and he said he did not know what to do - a PREDATOR. But remember, she's sorry.

I was catfished by someone when I was 23. I fell in love with an imaginary person and it went on for months. I was so blind to the red flags because of the love I felt that I refused to see the reality of the situation for such a long time. When I finally discovered the truth, I went through a "breakup" with this imaginary person they had created and it hurt like a bitch. I moved on and I dont have any lasting pain from it. I dont care about it anymore and I don't feel the need to get justice or revenge for what happened. Hopefully the victims of Sherry Pie can move past their experiences too. As for Sherry, I guess a lot of people have stronger opinions about how she should repent - or be punished - than I do. I just hope that she truly has grown as a person and won't go back to her old ways.

@@rachs6640 but did those “victims” had right to say yes or no to that? Yes they had. They didn’t do enough research and blindly accepted it and now they feel like victims. The idea of sherry doing catfishing is bad, I agree totally, but those men are fully grown up and can surely do research. They were just horny and wanted to send their body. Not sherrys fault, but only theirs. Even if my best friend told me that that agency is legit and I had interest in that, even tho she’s my best friend I would do a fully research to see if it’s really legit or not.
