Okay, this isn't a critic on Nina, I love you queen, but for viewers, as a Filipino I just want to clarify the issue of diversity. When one of the queens said that it was a diverse group of people, she meant that various queens are also representing their respective ethnic groups. There's a Bicolana queen, 2 queens from Mindanao, and various queens from different provinces who speak different mother tongues. In the Philippines, diversity means different ethnic groups (we have over 170 ethnic peoples). Unlike the US, where the population are known by race (white, black, latino, asian, native, etc.), the Filipino population are known by ethnic group instead (which have different histories, culture, languages, etc.). Hope this helps non-Filipino viewers!

Just a little trivia: Filipino gays have created their own language and it's really really difficult to translate it to english while including the contexts and references so a lot of the translations sounds blander than what was really said. There's a TON of puns and metaphors in each word. And i agree that the editing is so bad lmao! Love your honesty, always.

Yes please continue reviewing the Philippines season! I do believe they are bringing drama and raw talent. Turing is definitely a lip syncher that will put up a fight! I don't mind the issues with editing as much because it reminds me that it doesn't have to be perfect and over saturated with producers medling with story lines and orchestrating fake drama as in the US seasons. I think it's because it's hard to directly translate everything word per word. And there's a lot of references in there that are exclusive to Philippine media and culture that can't be put out there. That would mean a LOT of foot notes here and there too haha Like some of the judges commentary are quotes made by Filipino newscasters, actors and actresses and even singers. So I feel like there's a bit of a cultural gap there. That may seem like the TL is rushed but as a filipino watcher, I'm not mad at it and they did try their best to at least tie and make it sound catchy in a way idk haha I may have said a lot here I'm so sorry but again, they're trying to at least reach out to a wider audience with the subs. (If they want to put some notes on the subs next time i don't really mind either but might be distracting for some)
