I love how drag race philippines paid tribute to the golden gays. They were the ones who were mostly in the closet and not having the freedom to express unlike what we have today. Bernie donating half of her prize for this ep to the Golden Gays made me think she'll be a great successor to Precious Paula Nicole. Precious introduced the Golden Gays in her MTQ and after winning, started a foundation to help fund and support the Golden Gays.

The best episode so far! It gives a lot of positive vibes - the runway, the interactions between the contestant and the golden gays are so good, and that Lipsync is the best!!! and seeing Bernie won twice (mini challenge and maxie challenge) is the Cherry on top! Untucked is also good too!

This episode hits a bit different for me since I just lost my paternal grandmother last Saturday. I know a lot of “Golden Gays” or “Sages” as well. I’m glad that this was a non-elimination episode as it was more of a tribute to the Golden Gays than anything. This was Bernie’s episode all the way, from the mini challenge to the lipsync. Mama Pao is getting these looks together (even though she IS giving me Brook Lynn Heights clone syndrome 🪭🤭🤭). Btw, I’m LOVING how you’re incorporating the language into your intro for each franchise you react to. Keep up the GREAT work!! 😁🪭

I'm so impressed with the international franchises lately. France S2 was a hugh success, Philippines S2 is so much fun, I love all of the remaining queens, and the cast for DR Germany proves to be extremely strong with talented queens and an overall great start for a new show. Haven't had that much fun with Drag Race in a long time. 🎉 And Bernie ATE this episode! My personal winner of this season!

This episode is very timely as there is a trending post of a mother not in favor of his son's drag. The community is composed of a chosen family with rejection as common denominator. My heart is full as this episode paid homage to those who paved the way for us to be seen, heard, respected, and accepted in our society. Not an easy feat in the Philippines, especially back in the days when there was so much ridicule, shame, rejection, and ostracism for identifying as LGBTQIAA+. This episode carried the lived experiences of our Golden Mamas and Lolas (Grans) as well as their hopes that's why it's so rich with emotions. It's also a reassuring reminder that we're all part of a tribe - that we're never alone - just like how our Lolas still live together as a family to this day. So heartwarming and celebratory indeed. We love great moments and stories like these! Thanks as well, Valerie, for showing your vulnerabilities. It is inspiring to see how our common humanity transcends borders. Salamat po!

During the tenure of Justo Justo (JJ), a member of the Pasay City council, the Golden Gays were assured of financial support and housing. But upon JJ's demise, they lost all that security. Now the Golden Gays have barely enough to make ends meet. From day 1, Precious Paula Nicole has been championing their cause.

I was crying with you Val 🥹 this was the best episode of Drag Race I've ever seen and made me feel so many things I never expected this show to make me feel. My parents went through a really tough health crisis when I had just come out as Queer so they wouldn't let me help them at all. 15 years later, I'm a foster dad to two amazing girls and I feel like I've made up for the two loved ones I wasn't able to uplift in their hardest times.
