And my thing is: Ru was clearly made aware of the queens' snatch game picks. Otherwise I *know* he'd have no idea who these stars were, especially with how he kept suggesting American icons (even though they're well known enough outside of America). The queens who changed were so desperate for his approval and Ru saved them to let off the message that doing what he says will get you farther. This was one of the worst episodes of all the franchise in terms of judging.

@@kmaguire7161 I think that’s what it comes down to. I feel like their looks both pull from British pantomime, which is very linked to British drag. Choriza was criticised by Graham for this look being “a bit panto” but it’s a man in a dress, it’s going to look panto. The way I see it, it goes back to the H&M thing again, the queens get judged hugely on their runway looks because Ru is a look queen, and there’s an unrealistic expectation about their budgets, which ignores the reality that most British drag queens are working class. To me the comparison to panto shouldn’t be a negative, it’s larger than life, and both Chaney and May have very larger than life drag personas.

Honestly, River and Scarlett should have been lip-syncing. The only ones who did well in Snatch Game were Ella and Kitty, and Krystal and Choriza did far better on the runway than River and Scarlett. The only reason Scarlett was safe despite her one-note Snatch Game performance and appalling runway was that it would have looked bad for Ru to make her lip-sync after she'd taken Ru's advice to play Macaulay Culkin in Snatch Game.

Ru and Michelle are not the best people to judge RPDRUK. They do not understand the reference points of the UK queens, nor do they understand that UK drag is more than spending money. Every time in the UK snatch game Ru encourages the queens to change their characters, this is entirely unfair to the queens as it throws them off. I much prefer the Canadian seasons where we don’t have to put up with Ru and his bullshit.

I posted it before and I will say it again: I think Ru should put another queen to host UK because she clearly hasn't the cultural baggage she thinks she has. And Choriza being an imigrant as herself exposed Ru cultural limitation. It was shocking for me that RuPaul suggest all of then to change their personalities to something that she knew so she could judge, instead of studying the characters. It was obvious she didnt know Choriza character and it is fine. The ugly was she showing no interest to study a bit and get informed about it.

At the end of the day, it's reality tv and as a viewer I have no issue with the producers pulling strings behind the scenes. The problem with the season is that the producers are pulling strings right in front of our faces! Creating storylines and wiggling around some placements is one thing, but the judging this week was just... illogical? Like, the viewers are not blind... we all watched the same episode. Choriza had no business being in the bottom 2, and then once she was in the bottom 2, River clearly won that lipsync. If we're gonna manipulate the placements, at least make it believable?

I love that is Tia the one doing this interviews, because she is not only extremely charismatic, but being part of the show before, she makes the queens feel very comfortable with this "in" vision of the situation

Loved this queen, when I lived up North, Greta & Cleo Silver were the local stars, back in the 80,s, most people watching are half my age, fantastic that drag has grown so much and all different genres. It took me until I was 52 & I saw Sharen Needles, I was a club kid in the 80,s so I got her saw much, I love Choruza May accent , your beautiful & you know it,

I am glad that Choriza, the contestant herself, calling out the judge(s) for being biased, which its clearly shows on the episode too. I dont think the lipsync was that bad, I mean if Pearl and Fame lipsync was considered okay, this one should be too. But I do think both River and Choriza could push even more. And hearing from choriza in this interview that she was feeling disheartened at that moment made me think, that maybe it was the best time for her to go home. I shouldn't make assumptions, but I get the feeling that the production really give her and River the Jan Edit. So far, the judges being questionable, challenges being meh, "coaches" didnt do shit to mentor the queens on the challenges, the production being rushed, like if I was there I probably want to get eliminated too lol thats just too much.

I feel like Lady Bunny and Ru Paul are like the Magneto and Professor X of the drag world. Ru is clearly magneto though since Lady Bunny is open to all and Ru wants power over others (I'm being incredibly general here but I'm sure people will get what I mean 😅)

I think what people are most pissed about is that druk is judged with an American view point and with American standards of what drag should be. like not all British people get all the references so how are two Americans who know nothing about uk culture or uk drag culture, yk? at least dr Canada is judged by Canadians

The last two seasons of UK drag race were so good because the production team hadn't gotten their grubby little paws on it like they have in the other franchises, but with this season they went and ruined it with the crappy production. Do they not realise that the fans hate what they're doing? I'm pretty much set on not watching the rest of the season because it's like having my teeth pulled
