Really nice seeing new content man, your videos have helped me with my GTR and I still have a lot more to do. The one that made me laugh and aggravated was the horn with the quick release lol. I figured it out with my Momo by stripping the wire casing on the ground cable and looping the other ground to it to complete it. This winters battle is relocation of the battery and koyo radiator install. So gonna use your battery relocation video for help there. Again thank you for your videos and keep them coming!

Hey man. Recently got a r32 gtst , been watching all your videos. In the video of your first drive home my car has a lot of the same symptoms. Sometimes I get a maf error code like in your video showing how to red the codes and sometimes I get no error codes. Can’t get past 3 or 4k rpm’s, stalls sometimes. Already replaced the pump and a couple fuel filters. What did you do to fix yours? I know you said something about resoldering something with the maf. Was looking for a video but couldn’t find one or any kind of walk through. Super appreciate it!

I definitely have seen more Skylines on the road. I had a guy show up to wawa with one, being super cocky. So I started talking to him, he showed me under the hood and everything. At that time, I hadn't told him I have one too. Dude was just spitting out BS. So when I told him I have one and it's an RB30, AND I've had it since 2013. He got mad defensive. IDKy, I think it was the pictures. Then I told him the Skyline community is different and we all celebrate each other.

@@Goodezilla true story! But honestly, they should know when you start asking technical questions, that you are not the standard fanboy. Like I asked him if your car is AWD and RWD, do you pull the fuse or install a switch or pull the front shaft. I mean, only an owner who's worked on their car would ask specific questions like that. Like when people are talking about doing an RB30 swap, I ask how are you gonna solve the brake booster and intake manifold clearance issue. Stuff like that.

Same MPH as my 11.1 and i had stock wheels with 225 wide Goodyear Eagle 5s about 4 years old haha. 600whp with twins still. Get 2 step working so you can build boost and get out of the hole. Also dont let it stay at the limiter for long RBs hate it and its slow. Shift like ya mean it haha. 1.736 was my best 60f on my horrible rubber.
@Goodezilla2 жыл бұрын
Yeah you had more sidewall than my tires. I know RBs oil pumps don't like limiter (even tho mine is billet spline drive).. Wouldn't 2step be doing the same? I only stayed in first so long because I needed to get the mph up or it would bog even more in 2nd...and my equalibrium isn't used to the g-forces lol so I get light headed in first gear launch 🤣 it was only my 2nd time to the drag strip in this car in 6 years of ownership, so its a learning experience for me still.
@TheStickygoo2 жыл бұрын
@@Goodezilla Yeah very good point 2step will load up the pump. Unsure its as bad as 8krpm+ limiter though. I found a real good thing for launching was making sure the transfer case was in real good condition (rebuilt) noticed HUGE traction increase. Its also hard when racing as your heart goes crazy but try and slip the clutch out as well without dropping it it should get it out the hole abit better. But that MPH should see a 10 like me if i had good rubber :).
@jasaircraft2 жыл бұрын
You can setup a launch ctrl that is not that agressive and still builds boost, it often uses around -20 to -30 deg of total timing for it.

Wait so does this mean with slicks my goal of 10.99 on my 480awhp single turbo r33 gtr isn't possible lol? Because you're definitely making more power than me. Great runs man looked fun, hope to get a run like this going once I get the head back probably next year for the spring (had a bolt fall in and tear up my timing gear after an hour on the dyno - damage so far is just a few bent valves but nothing on the pistons).
@Forzasfynest452 жыл бұрын
I am the grey GTR in the video. You WILL NOT run a 10.99 with 480awhp unless you put an automatic transmission in your GTR. I have 547WHP but the intake temperature put me more at like 500whp during this day. Even with a 1.83 60ft the car went 11.74, so I need to lose .8 to run a 10. Meaning, I would need to do a 1.40 60ft which aint possible. Goodezilla has the 620WHP to run a 10.99 but still needs a 1.7 60ft to accomplish that with 128mph. The 1.7 60ft is possible though. Regardless, you dont have the WHP to move your car to a 10.99 or cut the appropiate 60ft time to get there. You could do a 10.99 with 125mph but would need a 1.60 60ft and thats 550whp+
@Goodezilla2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't think 480 is enough power in these cars for 10.99, but I'm no expert.

It's my car. I am on USA 93 pump gas. I can't run anymore boost on that fuel in the USA. The car uses the entire ID1050X injector (80% Duty cycle with 20% headroom). If you are outside of the USA, none of your fuel tables or boost settings matter.

You just have to step up your shifting game. It'll go 10's as is. Leaving way to much on the table with the launch and letting it come in and out of boost between shifts. Ride it out a bit on the launch and shift the thing like you mean it. It'll do 10's.
@Goodezilla2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I shift slow to "try" and preserve my trans. They break with 200hp less than I make.
