DRAGGING ANCHOR IN HUGE STORM! Ep-8

We set sail from Mykonos, end up Sailing in some big swell and windy weather, Dragged anchor in a huge storm! Then experienced dolphins on our bow 3 times on our way to Samos!
This week just wasn't our week, it felt like everything that could go wrong, went wrong! It's moment like these we sometimes think we're a little crazy for choosing this adventure
Experiencing 40-50 knot winds, dragging anchor, having lightening strike super close to the boat and becoming delirious from lack of sleep isn't exactly what you wish for....but it's all part of the experience and these experiences make you appreciate the good days all the more
Then it's the experiences like having dolphins swim at the bow that make every moment worth it
calm sea's don't make an experienced sailor

Unless you have 4 reefs in your main! You have a good chance of ripping your mainsail in half in 40kts! Time to drop the sails.

We actually only had one reef in that day however it wasn’t consistent 40 knots it only reached that for a second. we’ve really noticed around Greece with the mountainous landscapes that as soon as we get close to another island, the wind really rushes off Tyra land onto us but soon settles
