Back then you could smoke 2-3 packs of Chesterfield, drink alcohol and act like a fool, hit your wife without penalties, but heaven forbid you smoke some weed, smooth out and be cool, maybe get the munchies, that would get your ass thrown in prison for a lengthy stretch. Not all of it were the "good ole days"!

Yeah, felonies for pot that would put you in jail for decades! People don’t realize that “Mary Jane” was legal and readily available until Prohibition ended. Then after alcohol was made legal again they needed to find something for all those agents to do, so all of a sudden it’s the “deadliest gateway drug to heroin” in existence!
