I know this is an old comment but people generally design the hawk based on themselves, so if a player is white, then it would make sense for them to make their hawke white yes? Since the main character is meant for you to project on to, hence the ability to customize them and shape their personality with your own answers, rather than having them as a set character with a set personality and appearance right from the start.

Fenris and Isabela are the most compelling romances because meeting Hawke is the most important thing thats ever happened to them and so they cherish Hawke more than Anders or Sebastian. Anders is too much of an extremist whose real love is justice for mages and revenge against the Templars, which means more to him than Hawke does.

Fenris reminds me a great deal of Heathcliff (Wuthering Heights)... a tortured soul, only ever loves only one woman, faithful to the end. At one point I did the Anders track with Fenris in rival mode. Fenris says to Anders, in the banter that you hear on tasks (even though Hawke has chosen Anders), "If you ever mistreat Hawke I will kill you." He loves her even from afar...so very sweet.

+yukiprincess1901 it may be because you had him as a companion when you went on quests that involved mages. If you supported mages, then you will get rivalry points on fenris. If you want to keep him as a friend, do not take him on Mage quests if you are going to support them, since fenris is against them.

At first I was put off by Zevran, but adding the mods for Zevran romance scenes and playing the Zev romance through I really grew to like him. He would never be true forever like Alistair (see DA2), but he was fun. Also try adding in the Ser Gilmore companion NPC mod to DAO, which also has an Awakening version that brings him in there as a companion and remembers your relationship with him. I wish they had done the same with the original NPCs. (I mostly play as an elf, personal preference.)
