Tip: Set masterworks on both armor and weapon as hidden blades, 5 attacks on one and 4 on the other. You will see a massive increase to your overall damage output on any build.

ive played this game like 3 times over the past 4 years. i didnt play it through out mind you, i always end up abandoning the game right after the first major area. i think the last time i abandoned this game was the first time i came across undead enemies. this was back then when i still pirated games. i got into buying games legit recently when i finally started freelancing as an artist. this game wasnt on steam. as i installed apex legends, an old friend greeted me . i could feel this game saying hello to me as i browsed through origin. fortunately today as im typing this, its the ea publisher sale. bought this game's GOTY ed for 14 sgd. what im trying to say here is, a game really has more worth to it when you've bought it with your hard earned cash. i didnt feel this sense of accomplishment back when i pirated games. this game is great. just browsing around for classes that might catch my fancy, and this one just might be it :-)

Nah it's mostly because of the skills.Yeah it's immortal and such but i find its lack of instant high damage bad.I do play it as a control tank .In sustained fights its one of the best classes for sure.Also that combat roll upgrade is ridicilous.It is a must but at the same time it makes gameplay boring.

Also I got a suggestion.Use the Chromatic GS.Tecnically it always crits(damage wise).Elemental hit ignores armor and also if it counts both of the hits as individual hits so Crit chance and on hit effects are doubled.

I did but losing out on all the upgrade slots and critical chance disrupts the build. Damage was a bit more because of the elemental damage but in the end, I decided against it. As far as lack of high damage goes, in the video you can see I take out 4 pride demons in almost a minute (that's ~175,000 HP in 60 seconds) - to me that's a lot of damage :)

I am late but i have to say the crestwood power amulet can once again get glitched so you can have infinite power amulets Take the amulet of power but dont take the amulet of malika go to skyhold go back to crestwood forest and boom new amulet of power

Yes - it's called chest scumming and you can do it but it cheapens the game infinitely for me. Even if it's just 1 or 2 free points, not worth it.

I seriously think bioware were drunk when they designed the warrior abilities. Pommel strike, combat roll and grappling chain, all of which are mostly cc and utility, are all way better dps abilities than supposedly big damage stuff like mighty blow and earthshaking strike. Im always partial to 2h builds in rpgs, but it definitely seems like it was designed by someone who prefers the sword and shield style. Lunge and slash, payback strike and shield bash are just all really really great abilities with fun mechanics to them. Anyway, great build buddy, I run the same except with a sword because Im weird like that. Dragon hunter is definitely the best choice though.

All the quakes that were happening throughout the deep roads. The damage from them plus said quakes opening more holes for the Darkspawn to come through, were pretty much making things tough for them. Course thanks to the Inquisitor said quakes were halted and thus things would get back to normal for the Legion.

I'm late to your comment, but I play on nightmare and if you start solo you will get destroy real quick. Slowly build up and about level 11 to 15 you can start to really kick butt. At least my experience.

With the same durability? Nope, nothing can beat the champion. Damage output however... my mages can torn the strongest dragons to pieces in less than a minute, solo. A champion can't do that, no matter how durable it is. To the death just not fast enough to boost up your damage. I think my record with it is 64 second against the Highland Ravager, as opposed to my rift mage that killed it in 46 seconds.

I have commented or replied to someone agreeing that Archer are definitely hardcore damage dealer but wouldn't survive certain multiple enemies on nightmare with all the trials on, and on solo (no amulet of power exploit or any exploit). Like those pride demons and a few grunts, etc. The thing is a champion (and I don't like champion because I wanna kill my enemies faster) can tank loads of damage and still stand with full guard on. I'm sure a Knight Enchanter would outlive a Artificer Archer on this challenge.

I play using the XBox controller - press the RT to attack and as soon as the first strike is done, press the left stick (used for searching items). Cancels the full auto attack and leaves you with this. Someone messaged me that it isn't needed as much as you do it but solo - nightmare - all trials, every attack matters.

I do not remember materials as it's almost been more than half a year since I worked on this but I'd wager critical chance/critical damage T4 materials (either Dragon stuff or from Frostback Basin). Necklace alternative like mentioned in the video is Amulet of Death Syphon (heals with every kill) OR Superb Amulet of Dexterity to get extra 10% critical damage.

Sword & Shield doesn't have as much damage output as 2H - 2H weapons offer more critical chance/damage options. You also can't do the basic strike hack with it which makes the game feel a bit slow to me.

You can get the superb version in the Shattered Library in Trespasser but the entirety of the base game and the other DLCs will of course be using the Enhanced version which you will get by defeating Fiona once you side with the Templars.

Stats such as crit , crit dmg, attack % and passives count aswell to incrase the dmg. 750 * 300% = 2250, then add attack % which increases ur dmg in a way i am not entirely sure how. But i guess it either improves the end dmg or the wep base dmg. His passive in champion tree to the death increases dmg by 5% per sec, lets say he gets another 50-100% dmg here and then maybe another % dmg multiplier somewhere else. Things stack pretty quick in Dragon age games :) My Knight enchanter went from a staff pre lvl 15 around 100 dmg to a 128 dmg staff at lvl 15 but the dmg she did increased by around 1k per hit atleast.

You need to pick the Champion trainer sidequest, once you get to Skyhold (and of course, you were a warrior to begin with). Your companions also gets their extra opened up. Blackwall is your Champion companion

it's good! if you allow me to give some advice, I have few: 1, Try Staggering Strike, with it, Pommel Strike can stun a bear, orge, wraith, Gurd Harofsen, Alpha Emissary...etc, basically anything. with around 80% critical chance you can stun one enemy from start to the end. And image you can do this to a boss.... you can see here for an example: www.bilibili.com/video/av6117773/ this creature has immunity with physical effects, however it can't attack even once in the whole fight.

3. Champion is so good at defense so I really think barrier amulet is unnecessary. use TTD as much as possible, combine with WF and Charging Bull basically we can gain guard so fast. and with Bulwark, Untouchable Defense and Sigil of Bronto we can have a max guard as 100%HP. so it is all we need. Plus, IMO barrier is a negative thing in JOH. As explained above, HW will multiply the damage you take, since all your defensive factor can't apply on barrier you will take full damage when you have barrier on, therefor in the end all attack will become a crazy one-shot deathblow on you.

Actually, I'm searching for the "Bronto Sigil" and probably thinking of ditching the barrier amulet myself - make space for something else. Guard is definitely > barrier. If I get my hands on Belt of Urgency, I'll try that too. That's the beauty of Inquisition - so many possibilites and is the reason why I keep playing it even 2 years after its release!

Always the highest level materials you have access to (dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Crafting_materials). Get the Black Emporium DLC if you don't have it already - you get T1 until Level 7, T2 from Level 8, T3 from Level 16 and T4 from 18.

reaver does more damage and gets guard for every hit so keep fighting and you never die with the right weapon you can do 10,000 crits pretty normally I never see anyone make builds for reavers

Yes but with all trials on (meaning no healing) and constant loss of health with every attack, it becomes difficult. And if you take the "No health loss" upgrade (Trespasser) then it's not really reaver anymore. Just my opinion but yes they can crit pretty hard.

3:45 - Enhanced Amulet of Barrier - whatever damage you deal, I think 5-10% of it comes back as your barrier and because you deal a shitload of it that's why barrier is always there. Superb version is in Trespasser post-game.

I've playing this game lately and I can say that this build is not that great if you play Jaws of Hakkon at level 27 with even ground trial checked.
