For me it’s not it’s they need to as it’s clear that this is exactly what they set up this video does a amazing job showing Solas and his pain along with his reasoning on why he wants to do what he does.

I completely agree. He is an extremely complex character with a vast array of emotions that you don't really see in a lot of game characters, especially not one that are meant to be a villain. That said I don't really see him as a villain, just someone with good intentions but stuck in an impossible situation.

You know what confuses me about Solas? If he wants the Veil destroyed, shouldn't he have been on Corypheus's side???

If I remember correctly he wanted to use Corypheus to unlock the orb because Solas was too weak after his sleep, then he would have probably gotten rid of Corypheus and torn down the veil himself but it didn't work out as he had planned because Corypheus turned out to be stronger than he anticipated and then the whole mess happened with the rifts when the Inquisitor interrupted the ritual. At least that is how I understood it :D

@@SoulessStranger I understood all that. But the veil was already pretty much coming down. He basically helped put it back up, which is what I don't get. If I was him, I would have let it come down and then killed Corypheus myself once strong enough.

i wish sooo bad that the rumored deleted secret ending where romanced lavellan could join solas was cannon because seriously imagine the implications of dragon age dreadwolf. assuming solas is the antagonist/antihero we fight there, imagine how insane it would be to have to fight YOUR inquisitor in some sort of battle or just in some way have them be present against you, getting to feel both perspectives of where each of your characters are coming from n stuff. but tangent aside this is so gorgeous and amazing thank you for the sob
