So, so, so glad YT recommended this. I'm one of the 10 year Solavellans out here, and this song is just a soothing balm to my heart. I remember romancing Solas on my first playthrough all those years ago, and being so shocked, so... ruined, by -- that -- scene, but after reflecting on it, I realized Weekes & team decided to "commit" their love story -- then -- ... in that moment of heartbreak, not at earlier moments. That realization made me understand the long path we'd be on with his character. Loving him is a long, lonely journey. But. Var lath vir suledin.

As much as i would love to enjoy this, the use of ai for this video saddens me, many Solavellans would have been happy to be commissioned for the cover or any of the backgrounds in the video. Ai takes a database of art and uses it without permission, so most likely the ai took from many artists of the fandom to get that. I understand your excitement for the game, but "no copyright infringement" is misinformation. If you need help getting artists contacts I would love to help you. I also hope this doesn't take Gareths voice without permission as they are currently on strike for that very thing 😅

I did post on a Fan Art Discord channel awhile back, asking if anyone wanted to collaborate with me on this project but I got no replies. To be fair it was before the Veilguard hype so perhaps I just had bad timing. Using an image created with Bing was absolutely a last resort, and I would love to be able to use real art by real artists in my videos. The voices in this particular song are both me. I didn't list it because I really can't sing and I used an online AI tool to widen the range of it and fix the parts that were off-key, as well as drop the pitch and making it sound like a man's voice. I cannot tell you what a masterpiece you've created. On my first playthrough, before the dlcs, I played a human and I hated Solas. For my second, I made a pretty elf lady and oh boy. There is so much more that's revealed like that and then with the Trespasser dlc... I bawled. Yeah, I know, I'm a little bitch but I get too much into the lore and my characters (guess because I larp and play dnd?)... Both your voices are amazing, the lyrics and the music are just... perfection. I have goose bumps even if I listened to it like 20 times one after the other. I just finished The Veil Guard and didn't know their were 3 endings as well as 1 secret ending but the end hit me pretty hard. This story has really meant alot to me throughout DA lore but thankfully this story can continue in Veil Guard though. Amazing song btw!

Omg I didn't even know I needed this. Idc what people say...i completely believe everyone else's perspective who disagrees must just be incorrect. The story surrounding Dragon age in general, the cast being so life like and well fleshed out I genuinely forgot they were scripted game npcs, the personalities, and chemistry between Lavellan and Solas with the reveal included (Of course I had no idea what I was in for..I though omg this is romance at its peak slow burn barely crawling but getting just enough...SIGH)...the first time through inquisition as a dialogue story/plot obsessive fan...I have not to this day experienced anything equal to it this game's emotional impact on my days, weeks,..realistically...still. Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 was also right up there...maybe a little better than Inquisition..but only because I loved and adored Femshep as much as I adored Levallen but we got way more years and game hours with Shepard, but it's honestly so near being equal I just figure they are the standard of quality story telling and immersive consistency that in a way they have harmed my gaming experience. Nothing really quite hits me in the heart like these two franchises...I've always thought myself emotionally detatched in every way..First and only times I felt that kind of pull on the feels..tbh...dang you Bioware...you sure know how to rollercoaster those cliff hanger, beautiful, tragic, hilarious at the right times kind of products. --- Literally they put out better quality story telling than the majority of movie/hollywood studios...I am begging the Universe for just one of my girls getting an actual pay off in the end after putting so much effort and suffering so much for the good of all...(Still not over Shepard...I heard she (idc femshep amazing) might come back..i hope that's true)

This is why i pick the males that cane break my heart in video games. It just makes me feel less alone knowing that I'm not the only one who wishes the Creators of Dragon Age would allow the Tragic Men to be fixed or seen again and possibly persuaded to let the MC bacl into their lives and let them help them find a way to fix their mistakes. By the way I connected to Solas the most, more than the others for many reasons, and one that just makes me cry as i lost my father in midspring this year, and he hardly ever sai he loved me ( and my older sister and younger nrother as I'm the middle child and my older, half brother and sister weren't close to us as we're years apart and their mother wasnt the best, and thats all I can say. Add to the fact my dad wasnt supposed to have any kids yet he had the most kids, grandkids, and now a great grandson the latter of which he thankfully got see when he was born) when he did I was best thing to hear from him. God I'm crying just thinking and writing about this, but it's a good kind of crying. So yeah sorry about the spellings of some are wrong

Hey there! Yes, I did use Suno in the making of the music but the melody, the piano-tune and the tin whistle melody are my own creations. I recorded them using my cellphone then uploaded the recording to Suno. The song as you hear it is really parts of several different tracks extracted from my audio uploads and then pieced together in AudioMass and BandLab.

Beautiful melody! 💫 I have, however, a few suggestions: 1) I think it would make a big difference if you were to add "Dragon Age Fan Song" to your title. I almost didn't click on this because I had no idea of what to expect (a music video? A gallery of AI-generated images?) 2) There are a lot of talented Solavellan artists out there, I think it would be better to ask them permission to use one of their works as thumbnail, instead of an AI-generated one.

Including Dragon Age Fan Song in the title is an excellent idea, and I'd love to use real art work for the video, but sadly I got no response to the request I made on the fan art discord channel where I posted. I ended up using Bing Image Creator because it was either that or not have an image at all. However, I have started making digital art myself (in Krita), so hopefully, I'll be able to update the video with a non-AI image in the near future. 🙂
